"Before we put that plan to action. Can we do a dance battle?" Riker asked.
"No!" Myles, Blake, Echo, and Nyra shouted in unison.
"You guys are boring," Riker pouted.
"You know I can hear you?" Illusion Master asked.
"No durr," Riker said.
"Ok guys ready?" Myles asked. They nodded in response. "Ok, I need to tell Firebeast something," Myles said.
"It's not the time to have chit chat," Echo said.
Myles winked and said, "Trust me." Echo nodded.
"Are we going to have a dance party?!" Riker whispered yelled.
"No! I know what you can use your powers for," Myles said.
"Go on," Riker said.
"So I need you to shoot fireballs at the machine," Myles explained.
"What?!" Riker yelled.
Myles covered his mouth with his hands.
Riker licked his hand and Myles whispered yelled, "Ew what the heck?!"
"That's what you get," Riker shrugged.
"Gross! Not the point I need you to shoot fireballs at the machine," Myles said.
"Yeah, I know, but isn't that dangerous?" Riker asked.
"Yes, but I can put the fire out with my powers," Myles said.
"Oh ok," Riker nodded.
"Good, now lets go help our team," Myles said.
Echo has turned invisible, waiting for Myles to cue. Nyra and Blake also got in position. Riker was sneaking to the machine, but not too close. He wanted to stay far enough to not get hurt. Myles looked at their teammates and nodded as in cue to attack. Blake multiplied, which got Illusion Master confused. Then Echo jumped on him, covering his eyes. Illusion Master was trying to get her off and started shooting electric balls everywhere.
Nyra tried to find where the energy source came from to shut it off. She looked around and found nothing; she put her head down and stumbled on something. What the heck! Nyra thought and looked at what she tripped on. A wire? She followed where the wire went, leading her into a bright room. Nyra got blinded from the blazing light that was hitting her. She used her power to fry the source, even though she knew she was going to get hurt. For my team. She thought and used her power. When she touched the source, her body felt limp and feel to the floor. She knew she succeeded when the lights turned off but her eyes closed darkness taking over.
Once Myles saw that the power turned off, he knew it was Riker's turn. "Firebeast now!" Myles yelled. Riker nodded and started shooting fire balls at the machine. Illusion Master shook Echo off, finally able to see.
"No!" he shouted, running toward the machine.
"Illusion Master, no!" Blake shouted, forming back into one. He pushed Illusion Maser away from the machine seconds before it explodes.
The fire started spreading rapidly and Myles used his powers to burn out the fire before it gets too big to stop. Illusion Master pushed Blake and was getting ready to shoot him until Echo pushed Illusion Master away. He ended up hitting the machine, and the fire got bigger.
"Thanks, Echo," Myles said.
"Sorry," Echo apologized.
Myles sighed, putting more strength to fight the fire. Once the fire went out, everyone looked at each other in relief.
Illusion Master clenched his fists and threatned the team, "You will pay for what you've done. I will be stronger than ever and you will be the ones being defeated."
"Yeah, and we will also be stronger," Blake retorted.
"Yeah, and what type of threat is that?" Myles said.
"Oh, it's not a threat, it's a promise," Illusion Master said, and with that he left leaving his staff behind. Echo went up to the staff and grabbed it. It looked so familiar to her, but she couldn't put her finger on it.
"What's wrong Echo?" Riker asked.
"Nothing it's just this staff looks so... familiar," Echo responded.
"Oh well you probably dreamed of it or something," Blake said.
"Yeah probably," Echo shrugged and stood up. "I'm going to keep the staff so it doesn't get into the wrong hands," she said.
"Ok keep it somewhere safe," Myles said.
Echo nodded looking at her friends noticing that one of them were missing. Someone's missing? She thought. Nyra! "Where's Nyra?" she asked.
