Will

"Ah, Schist! You're worse than I thought! You can't even support your own weight."

"uh-huh." Nico looked shocked, like he couldn't believe how frail his own body had become. It's like he didn't even realize just how emaciated he really was. I decided that I couldn't wait until we were in the infirmary, I had to do a basic emergency check with Nico.

"Hey, hey Nico." He looked at me, "I'm going to have to do a basic emergency check before I move you to the infirmary. I'm going to start by asking you a few questions, will you answer truthfully?"

"Umm, alright. I'll do my best."

"When was the last time you ate? And what was it? "

"Three days ago. A cheeseburger happy meal with a coke." I sighed, he hasn't eaten in three days and when he did he ate junk food. It's like he's trying to slowly kill himself.

"Hmm, ok. How long did you sleep the last time you slept?"

"Twelve hours, would've been longer if you hadn't woken me up."

"And the time before that, how long did you sleep?"

"Three days." My jaw hit the floor.

"Btwhisngksah. What! How in the Gaia did you manage to sleep for that long!"

"Soundproofed walls." The thing that really got to me was how he was telling me all of this. It was like it's a totally normal thing that normal people do all the time. How was he so calm about all of this?!

"Nico that's not healthy."

"Neither is death."

"OK, so I'm going to help you up now. And I'll help you walk over to the infirmary, do you think you can make it, or do I need to carry you?"

"I can make it! I don't need to be babied!"

"Alright, just checking." I put my hands up in surrender. After he cooled down I offered him my hand to help him up. He took it and I noticed something distinct about the son of Hades' hands. They were cold and very bony. I liked the cold part, it was a welcome feeling against my unnaturally warm skin, and his hands weren't clammy either. I deduced that if he wasn't so skinny then his hand would be my favorite hand to hold. I had him put his arm around my waist and we started to walk out of his cabin.

Nico

I expected every reaction I got from him, I know that my habits aren't normal but they work just fine for me. And I'm so used to these kinds of reactions it didn't even phase me. When he offered me his hand to help me up I took it and never wanted to let go. His hands were so warm and soft, it was a nice feeling and made me really happy. But all too soon I had to let go and hang on to Will as if my life depended on it. Depending on who you ask, it did and it didn't.

We began walking out of my cabin, that's when I knew I wouldn't make it to the infirmary. My knobbly knees buckled and all of my remaining energy was spent, my eyes felt heavy so I closed them. As I did I felt Will pick me up and sigh, "You know you don't have to be so tough all the time, you can trust me." I leaned into his warm chest as he walked me to the infirmary where I would be staying for the next three-plus days.

I didn't fall asleep, I was in this weird state of being where I could hear and feel everything but I just couldn't open my eyes for the life of me. I felt it when Will gently laid me down on an infirmary bed as I selfishly mourned the loss of his comforting heat. I really needed to get my shit together, he doesn't like you. He never will and you need to accept it, Will Solace would never like the puny emo son of Hades gay freak that you are. Plus he's probably straight.

I heard him sit down in the chair by my bed after pulling the curtain shut around me. I guess he assumed I was sleeping because he started running his fingers through my hair. "Poor Nico," He whispered almost to himself, "I wish you took better care of yourself."

Will had a really calming presence, the heat he radiated was like a warm blanket giving me a hug. Everywhere he touched I could feel his healing powers seeping into my skin, and he hummed a song that sounded vaguely familiar. After about an hour of this, I actually fell asleep.

Will

I picked up the sack of bones named Nico and walked him to the infirmary. He was so cute when he wasn't scowling. I found it really funny that he said he didn't need to be babied when he could barely take two steps before he collapsed. It made my heart flutter when he cuddled into me, reminding me of a stray kitten. I really don't see why people think he's scary, he's the most adorable thing in the universe.

I set him down in the bed furthest from the door of the infirmary to give him as much quiet as possible. I closed the curtain around the bed and sat down to take his vitals, which were, as expected, quite concerning. I couldn't do much at the moment to help him since he was asleep. I passed my fingers through his messy hair, it was really soft. I kept on running my one hand through his hair while I thought of how I could help him.

I began to softly hum an Italian lullaby, I knew he was Italian so I figured it might make him comfortable. As to how I knew Italian, all Apollo kids could speak and understand Italian because it was the most common language in music for a while. I couldn't remember all of the words to the song but I remembered some of it so I sang. I began to pass my hands over his body, my healing powers amplifying while I sang. By the time I was done with the song, I could hear Nico softly snoring and his body getting just a little stronger.

A/N: I'm too lazy to change it but now that I've discovered the song Soldatino I imagine it whenever I read this scene...I linked the video in, prepare to cry.
