Three days in the infirmary a Solangelo Fanfic

Morning

A/N: I was chilling and decided to watch this^ video four times in a row, it has absolutely nothing to do with this chapter but it emotionally destroys me and if you haven't heard it yet, you should. Thank you, please continue to enjoy my writing!

Will

I had felt Nico shifting against my body, I could feel every little shake and hear every small whimper. I sat up and moved him into a hug, I also willed one of my generally useless powers to work. I was making myself glow, it usually only acted as a nightlight for the younger Apollo kids but tonight I was going to make all of Nico's shadows disappear. He calmed down after a minute and then woke up. I hugged him tighter and asked if he was ok.

"I will be." And that just melted my heart. I began to softly hum Brahms lullaby, it always calmed the younger campers down so I figured it might help. And I guess it did because before I knew it Nico had fallen back asleep. I looked at the time to find it was one in the morning, I moved Nico so that he was lying down again and I slid back in next to him. He curled into my chest and I wrapped my arms protectively around him, I eventually fell back asleep.

I woke up at the crack of dawn like I always do, silently cursing out my father for not letting me sleep in just this once. Then I look at the cutest little ball of darkness sleeping next to me and smile, I wish I could wake up next to him every morning. I slowly get of bed and place a kiss on his forehead, I move to open the door and let the sunlight in when I notice something move. I cautiously approach the shadow to find Jason lurking in the doorway with Piper.

They know they've been caught even before I say, "Fancy seeing you two here."

"Heeey," Jason started, "Just wanted to say good morning to my favorite ship."

"And I was here...supervising him." Smooth, Piper, real smooth.

"*Sigh* Nico is still sleeping, and why are you guys up at the crack of dawn? Not even Chiron wakes up this early. And before you guys try and lie yourselves out of this, don't."

"Fine, you caught us red-handed," Piper said, "We were watching you guys sleep, but only because it's the cutest thing ever."

"I'm not mad at you guys but could you please just give Nico and I some privacy. We're still figuring things out."

"But-but Solangelo," Jason whined.

"Just give us a week or something."

"Fine! But only a week." Jason said as he marched back off to his cabin.

"I only want you guys to have the best chance possible, but no funny business. If you hurt Nico, even a little bit, let's just say you should learn to sleep with both eyes open." And she walked off. I know better than to underestimate Piper, I might be able to curse you to only speak in rhyming triplets but Piper can make you do just about anything and you'll think it was your idea. And I don't want to know what sort of punishment she has in mind for if I hurt Nico, but it's probably worse than anything I can imagine.

I brush off what they said and begin my day, determined to make it a great one. I grab a shower and change into some clean clothes. I catch an early breakfast with my siblings and assure them that I'm fine to take over all of the infirmary duties for the day then I take a tray back to Nico. When I walk back into the infirmary I am greeted by what is most likely the biggest surprise of my life, Nico is awake and walking around at seven in the morning.

"Wh- uh- good morning!" I say, "I got you breakfast." I offer him the tray filled with fruit and waffles.

"Thanks," he greets me with a smile that melts my heart and takes the tray from me.

"So, what're you doing up so early? I thought you weren't a morning person."

"I'm not, usually. But I dunno, maybe I'm just supercharged today." He chuckles, the sound making me fall mad hard for him.

"Well it's good to know you're feeling a lot better. Now eat, doctors orders."

Nico
I woke up close to an hour after Will left, I really don't know how but I knew when Will had gotten out of bed even though I had been dead asleep. And a big part of me wanted to wake up with Will and see how he lives his life. And I have this normally unexplainable amount of energy, but I bet it's from all of Will's kisses. I even looked at my werewolf scratches and they look identical to cat scratches now. There's no doubt in my mind that his kisses heal better than anything else he does.

I take the plate of food from him and sit on the edge of my bed. I start digging into my breakfast to find that my appetite has come back almost completely. I know today's gonna be a pretty good day.

"Wow, you finished your plate. That's really amazing progress, how are you feeling?"

"I feel really great. Even my werewolf wounds have mostly closed up."

"Let me see," he lifted up my shirt and examined the wounds, "did I really help you heal that fast?" He sounded like he couldn't believe his own abilities.

"Yep. I bet I'd feel even better if you gave me another kiss." What can I say, I craved his kisses. Everything about them just felt so right.

"Ok," Will then have me a quick kiss on my cheek.

"What was that!?"

"A kiss," he said, smirking.

"No, this is a kiss," and I pulled him into a deep kiss.

When we separated Will said, "I guess I can't argue with that." He sat down with me on the bed, "So since you're feeling better, do you want to take a walk with me before the whole camp's up?"

"Yeah, sounds fun." It sounded more than fun, it sounded like freedom. No matter how much I loved spending time with Will, the infirmary was really stuffy and I really needed to get out of it.
