LUKAS’ POV

I was leaning on my arm while looking outside the window.

The teacher keeps talking about things that I was already taught since I was probably seven.

Sigh. “Cassy, Andy! I’m bored.” I whined at the two most boring people who sat beside and in front of me.

“Call me that again and I’ll kill you.” Caspian said with a closed eyed smile.

I gulped.

Caspian is really scary and that’s a lot coming from me. I don’t get terrified easily though I may act like it sometimes.

“Maybe I could try my new sword at you.” Anthony said with a thinking face then he turned to me with a sinister smile.

“I’m sorry.” I said quickly. “I beg for both of your forgiveness.”

‘Ah. I wonder why I am friend with these two boring yet terrifying people in the world.’

“But seriously. I am bored.” I whined.
Just then I saw Melly’s class go out of the building.

“Ooh. Melly’s there.” I said with a bright smile.

The other two quickly looked out the window to see.

I don’t know when but I just started to enjoy Melly’s company through the years. I consider her as my little sister but I’m never saying that to Anthony. He just might murder me.

The first few months after we met were funny. We visit Anthony quite often when we were young and Melly always avoids us or ignores us. It was fun to watch especially since Caspian was enjoying his time teasing her until she cracked and finally stopped and through our time there, I got really close with Nicholas since he was the only guy who seems the most normal one.

Anthony and Caspian had a slight smile while looking out of the window, watching Melly and Nicholas walk around the grass.

“It seems that they are going to grade their familiars.” I said excitedly.

Melly never showed Caspian and I how powerful her familiar is.

“I bet it is going to be a class B.” I said.

“No. It’s going to be a class A.” Caspian said confidently while Anthony scoffed making the two of us look at him.

“What do you think Anthony?” I asked with an eyebrow raised.

“I bet it’s an S.” Anthony said making Caspian and I look at him in shocked.

“No way.” I said with wide eyes.

Familiar are judged from A to E. with A being the highest and E as the lowest. S is just another special case.

‘My familiar Igle which is an eagle is just at B, Caspian’s Leo was at A together with Anthony’s Fyre and he says our dear Melly have an S as a familiar as a first year!?’

“Well, she is my fiancée.” Caspian said with a proud tone.

“You don’t even know how to flirt with ‘your’ fiancée.” I teased.

That guy has no idea how to act all romantic and all and it’s so funny to watch him go and try to show affection to Melly but it always ends up with Melly just thinking that Caspian’s either sick or shrugs it off as a friendly action.

“How can you even get her hea-… oof.”  Caspian slapped the back of my head.

“I dare you to say that again.” Caspian said while smiling creepily.

‘Ugh. This guy. I am so lucky that he’s my friend. I can’t even imagine myself surviving his smile once we’re enemies.’

Anthony chuckled. “There is no way Caspian is going to get my sister’s heart.”

“I can get it.” Caspian said with confidence but I could clearly see the doubt in his eyes.

“Ah. The prince has no idea how to get a maiden’s heart.” I said with emotion while clutching my chest. “Do you want my help dear prince?” I asked with a teasing smile.

“No.” The stubborn prince said while I chuckled.

“Figures.”

Then I noticed the two guys glaring out the window.

Curiously, I also looked out the window and I cracked up laughing at what I saw.

“Are you guys protective or just possessive?” I asked wiping the tears in my eyes.

Outside, I saw our dear Melly smiling at another boy.

‘I should go threaten him later to scare him away.’ I thought.

“That guy made my sister scream.” Anthony said angrily at the same time when Caspian said. “That guy made Lia smile.”

“What?” I asked amusedly.

The other was protective while the other one was too possessive.

‘There’s no way I am similar as they are. Yup, there's no way I am that silly.’

I chuckled at both of them and looked out of the window again to see the next scene.

‘Finally. Something that can cure my boredom.’
