AMMELIA’S POV
I opened my eyes and stared emptily at the ceiling of my room for a few seconds.
‘What’s taking him so long?’ I wondered. ‘I thought he’ll be back right away but a whole week is going to pass now.’
“Miss.” A knock sounded out the door. “Will you need my help to prepare for the day?”
I’ve been telling Luise that I don’t need her help to prepare for the morning because I want to be more independent but that was only part of the reason why I don’t want her entering in the morning. I just feel like the dream I had before could come back and she might get suspicious if I mumble something I shouldn’t in my sleep.
"Yes. Come in Luise." I called out, feeling lazy to prepare for the day.
The door opened and Luise came in to help me. I wore my usual clothes. The only difference was that my hair was fixed better than it usually is when I prepare alone.
"Thank you." I told her once we finished. "You may go now.
“I understand. Have a good day today, Miss.” She said before leaving
I stood up with a sigh from the dresser and went out of my room.
. . . . .
“Ammelia.” Trisia called a few feet away, waving her hand to catch my attention.
“Oh, good morning Trisia.” I smiled and reached my hand over to her when we got close.
“Good morning.” She smiled back and locked her arms with mine.
We were walking towards the next subject after our homeroom.
“You have been so busy these days that we rarely get to talk together.” She pouted.
“Oh, I apologize.” I smiled apologetically because it was true. "But luckily I have finished my biggest worry."
"Oh, that difficult assignment you told me about months ago?" She asked. "That's great. You seem very down during those times."
I showed an emarrassed smile, "Was I really?"
"You were," She nodded. "And it seems you still are."
"Are what?"
"You still are down." She smiled slyly.
I felt my cheeks flush a bit when I knew what she was talking about, "I am?"
She giggled at my reaction, "You seem very preoccupied with something and correct me if I am wrong but is this about your prince?"
"My... pri-nce?" I felt the heat flushing from my cheeks to my ears.
Mine? Such a word gives me shivers just to imagine saying that out loud. What are we? Werewolves? I'm pretty sure that I did not reincarnate at a werewolf novel.
Sure, my relationship with him started going up a lot more than it has for years but I doubt it has reached to the point where I can call him mine.
"My, it seems that it is." She giggled, having fun with her teasing me.
"Oh, stop it." I pushed her gently when I realized she was having too much fun.
Well, it has been a week since Caspian left and I still haven’t heard from him. He was supposed to be back after three days. So I guess I am disappointed that he's taking longer than expected not to mention he didn't send a letter.
‘I wonder if something happened at the palace.’ A thought passed by, which made me worry.
When we reached a corner, I felt someone bump into me from the side.
