AMMELIAS POV
I started going up the stage nervously.
"Good day Miss Ammelia Anderson." The host greeted me.
"Good day to you too." I smiled at him, trying to hide my nevousness.
"Now, there's no need to feel nervous. You just have to place your hands on the ball and feel the power flow from your body towards the ball. In most cases if you cannot control your power properly, it would break the ball but it only happens if your power is really great and in rare cases and the ball could shatter to pieces if your power is too powerful for it to handle so don't panic if that will ever happen." The host smiled after explaining.
"Okay, I understand. Thank you." I told him, gratefully.
I felt Blizzard shift in my pocket when I started facing the ball. I breathing in deeply then I touched it.
When the ball didn't react right away, I started panicking but before I let the ball go, the clouds around me darkened. Then, the ball turned red with white lines flashing within it.
I gasped when I was suddenly encircled with red fire and lightning started flashing above me.
After it was doing that for a few more seconds, the ball broke under my hand and all the elements that showed up, disappeared like it was nothing.
I gaped, I learned that lightning was one of the rarest of the rare because it needed two amally genes and I just received two freaking elements.
So I was not expecting any of that.
When I came back to my sense, everyone was still staring at me with shocked faces.
"M... Miss Ammelia Anderson has received two elements! She is now a fire and a lightning elemental!" The host announced stunned yet again.
That snapped everyone out.
"Congratulations." The host told me while I just replied with a smile, still stunned aboit what happened.
"Woah!"
"Congratulations."
Many people clapped and congratulated me while I passed through them when I was returning to my table.
"Woah! That was awesome. Congrats Ammelia." Nicholas said grinning.
"Congratulations Mel." Brother Tony said with a big smile.
"Thank you! I was so nervous." I admitted.
"You had nothing to be nervous about. I am happy for you." Daddy said smiling.
"Thank you, daddy!" I smiled brightly.
Honestly, I wanted to do good to make sure that I won't disappoint daddy and bring shame to our family and I am glad that, that didn't happen. I know he will still love me even if I fail but I just don't want to bring him shame.
"Person next to person. They all have powerful powers." The host mumbled to himself while fixing his messy clothes. "I should bring a shield, skating shoes and an umbrella next time." He continued talking to himself, oblivious of the fact that we could all hear him.
A number of people chuckled at what he said and started talking to themselves.
"Up next we will have another one belonging to the house of Andersons. Let us welcome Sir Nicholas Anderson." The host announced after he fixed himself.
"Wish me luck." Nicholas said while walking towards the stage.
After listening to the hosts instruction, he placed his hand on the ball.
Nothing happened for a few seconds until the ball become black and dark smoke started going out of the ball then the ball cracked.
"D... Dark magic! Sir Nicholas earned dark magic." The host stunned.
Well, I knew that Nicholas was going to be a powerful one along with the other capture targets since they are the main characters but I swear, the face the host is making along with the priests on the stage is hella funny.
They were both getting stunned one after another so their surprised faces are evolving every time a powerful element goes out.
"That's awesome, Nicholas." I said congratulating him with a bright smile.
'Hmmm... I feel pretty proud because my family is filled with powerful members.'
"Great job." Tony said while daddy nodded in acknowledgement.
While the host was changing the ball, the heroine caught my eye, she was sitting down on the tables where the lowest ranking nobles were.
There's a big chance that shell get light magic, the second rarest power since she is the heroine but Cousin Mia did say that she wasn't strong.
After eating dozens of snacks waiting for the heroines turn, she finally went on stage.
She placed her hands on the ball and we waited for like a few minutes.
'Is this the part when they make the reader wait in anticipation for her results?' I wondered.
After a few minutes there was a blinding light that caught all of us off guard.
"Oh, my precious chocolates." I mumbled to myself when I accidentally let it go when the light blinded me.
When I looked back at the heroine, her brown hair started floating and I could almost see wings appearing behind her while she was holding the ball that was shining a bright light. She looks angelic and I'm sure not the only one thinking that.
"M... Miss Estella Nicholls has received the elemental of light." The host announced while everyone congratulated her and her family.
'Ehem. Cousin Mia, where is the weak heroine in this? She looks powerful!?' I grumbled at Cousin Mia in my head.
I sigh. 'Nothing I can do about it. Move on, move on.'
The rest of the day after that was just boring. I spent it eating sweets and talking to my brothers.
"That was awesome Melly! I totally thought that the lightning will hit me." Luke exclaimed.
"I agree, you were amazing Lia. I told you there was nothing to be worried about." Caspian said with a warm smile.
"Thank you. Your elements were also powerful and great." I smiled brightly at them.
Our families were walking together going outside to the carriages.
"Come on." Daddy said while helping me up the carriage.
"So daddy, when can I practice my magic?" I asked excitedly.
I remember daddy allowing me to practice how to wield a sword once he thinks I'm ready but he never mentioned when.
Daddy sigh. "Well, I'll first look for a teacher for the three of you which could prove difficult so while waiting, I guess I can teach you and your brother how to use fire since I too have that element." Daddy started.
"But it's going to be hard to look for a teacher for Nicholas. Theres a possibility that I could not find any black magic teacher so I'll probably just let him read books for now."
"Okay daddy. I'll try to learn all I can while waiting." I promised since I felt a little bad.
Daddy has a lot of things he have to do right now. Like, investigating mother's death and he still has his responsibilities as a duke which is mostly political work and he also trains the knights of the kingdom.
It's going to be hard to look for a black magic and lightning teacher. I haven't read anything about a lightning elemental this generation. The last time they were seen was from the last two generations so daddy will have a really hard time looking for our teacher.
'I have to make sure to become stronger before we start to attend the academy.' I told myself. 'There's a possibility that my fate will be decided in the academy so I have to be ready to... run because there's no way I could defeat the main characters.'
