-They will do a biopsy today.- Were Ava last words to Francesca. After she got no answer from Francesca and had to call her so she would come to the hospital. There was a shadow in the brain scans.

- I am going now. Please don't leave her side until I am there. - Francesca voiced begged in rush, out of breath, while banging the furniture around her, while looking for her car keys, that were as always in top of the little wooden table in the front door hallway.

Even though they haven't knew each other for long enough, she knew she had to be there, she wanted to be by her side. She couldn't avoid but to think that she knew something wasn't right. She should have forced her to go to the hospital.

Nicole was happy when she saw her, even though she insisted she had told Ava not to bother her. This was nothing, she said. Although, when Francesca explained to Ava how she has been feeling, the concern in both their eyes suddenly agreed that there was more than just nothing happening there.

The doctor came in a few hours after, by his side a nurse dressed in a sea blue uniform to take Nicole. Ava agreed to stay there until Nicole would be back. The time dragged, like they have waited together for 2 days. When she was finally back, there was nothing but another wait, only in a few days they would get the results. Nicole's father was on his way, after Francesca gave her no other chance than to call him.
After he arrived, Ava said her godbyes. It was perhaps important for them to be left on their own or so she thought, before she left letting them know they can count on her for whatever they might need.

-Whatever happens, you can count on me.
-Thank you so much. I love you Ava.- Nicole said leaving Ava with nothing but an akward smile and a quick eye contact with Francesca. She thiought to herlself she must have been confused, given all that has happened.
-I love you too freak, Take care of her Marina. If you need anything give me a call. - She said just before she left. The first thought in her mind was Marina. She was relieved to know she would be at home waitting for her.

She was carrying a brown paper folder, with a squared label with Nicole's name. Once he sat in the chair and rolled towards the bed, the nurse gently gave him the folder. He looked at the contents once more before start speaking. once he finally stopped, there was a strange heavy silence n the room.

- Do you have any questions? he asked.

The truth his that none of the people in the room seem to be able to trully proccessed what all this had really meant.

-I you don't, and you are happy for us to proceed, I will arrange the surgery for this week. You can go home and do everything as normal. You will be in good hands. He left the room, leaving the nurse behind him. She was the safety net, there to make you feel more at piece, there to give a chance to proccess the information as well as to complete the administrative work that always comes with a surgery.

- I know it is a lot to proccess, but the good news is that we can operate and remove the tumor. As any surgery has risks, but this is something that he see quite a lot and it is in position that shouldn't be too difficult for a surgeon this experienced.

The appointment kept going. There was different questions such:

-How are you feeling?
-Do you have any questions now you had some more time?
-Is there something on your mind?

As well as such banal/regular questinons that seemed oddly unfit for the moment:
-Is your address still the same?
-Can you confirm your best contact?
-Do you have any allegies?
