Two completely dissimilar Saturday evenings, yet both connected by the rare need to unveil deeply hidden truths. The stars scattered in the sky were the connection in between them. Tonight they were starting a new constellation, made by four people, all trusting of a bright new morning to come.
After a night spent holding each other to ensure the other wouldn't run away, it was time to wake up, for the Saturday night show had ended and a new day was ready to start. In an extraordinary synchrony both couples woken up early in the morning, covered by an invisible passion red quilt, making them act like one of those couples from the great romances who pause the world around them to simply kiss, hold tight and gaze at each other's eyes. In both cases, the breakfast was served in the bed and the following shower shared for the pleasure of feeling each others skin. When they left the house, before lunch time, both couples walk to the park. They walk the opposite half circule of the lake, laughing and kissing as only lovers do, to only meet each other right in front of Francesca eyes. She had chosen the perfect seat for this show.
She watched them meet. Almost like a royal parade she was watching from the front row seat. could this be true? Could her life be in such syncrony with those four strangers, now facing each other awkwardly, trying to hide the clues for what had happen last night.
- Hi girls- Lilly said..
- Hiiiiiiii - Ava awkwardly responded overly excited. Not in the same tone she always used. There was a sense of anxiety transparently showing in her voice. They hadn't discussed what had happened, what were they and they the fourth of them were suddenly forced to know it and share it with others.
Marina looked at her, still with her arms around her as to say: "what are you doing?"
-Hi Lilly, didn't know you had a date today? I mean, I am sorry, that is very unpolite of me... I am...- Marina paused after hearing her name being called...
-Marina?! Hey how are you? - Francesca interropted her hoping to save her from the hole she was diggng under her feet.
-Hey... how are you? - She couldn't recall her name...
-Francesca... Remember?
-Of course... How are you? I meant to text you after that day, but a lot has happening since... How are you anyway?- "Who was she?"- Ava asked herself, hoping she wasn't one of the girls from a recent night she wouldn't know about. She looked at her once more and suddenly she realised:
- I am sorry... I know your face... Do we know each other?- Ava suggested...
- Yes, I believe we spoke shortly once. In a night out, I was with Nicole at the gallery.
- Ohh... yes... Of course. I remember it now. How do you two know each other?
- Long story... I'll tell you what... Why don't we all go for a coffee? - Marina suggested. This couldn't be positively more awkward or so she imagined.
-We were going for breakfast anyway. -Lilly commented- What do you say Scarlet?
- Yes, of course. Sounds lovely.- She finished with a smile, to hold her hand once more.
-Do you want to join us Francesca?
-Oh no.. I shouldn't really...
-Well, why shouldn't you? We all know Nicole anyway... Why not?- Marina persuaded Francesca.
- Almost everyone. To be honest I am probably more clueless than everyone here. - Scarlet said to make her feel more comfortable.
-Long story short guys, Nicole is Ava ex and we are now together... - Marina clarified leaving Lilly with so many more questions to ask.
- You are what? - Lilly surpringly reacted.- When did this happen? How did I miss this?
- I am sure we can all cath up and have a nice time together. come on girls. Lets go... you too Francesca. Not taking a no for an answer.
This was more than Francesca could ever expected for. This was an opportunity to vet to know her, but as well to see why does Scarlet sound so familiar to her. She was not connecting the dots. Did she cheated on her wife or she is doing the papers because she met Lilly? There was so many options, but this is her chance to see this show live and take some notes.
