"Washington, I'm telling you, we have to keep going around the community! Look for any survivors to take with us!" Erin complains. Kiki, Quinton and Abira sat around a campfire that was set outside of the community, listening to the two argue. "No, Erin, we need to move on from this fucking place! It's obliterated and extremely unsafe to stay here." Washington argues. "Stop being such a selfish prick and think about other people. You were a District leader, your job is to be concerned about people." Erin states her counterargument. "That's the thing.. I was a District leader.. Not anymore. That's in the past, and what's in the past is gone." Washington says.
"How long have they been doing this?" Quinton asks, looking tired as hell. "At least two hours.. But the real question is, how long will they keep this up?" Kiki replies. "What's the point in saving anyone? Half of them died, the other half already has fled." Washington says. "The point is hope.. Not just for us, but for those we save. You need to understand that, Washington." Erin says. "The point is, if they need help, they're not strong enough." Washington says. Kiki looks up as Washington says that, then stands up. "Both of you, shut the fuck up. Both of you are right.. But for right now, we need to figure out a leader." Kiki says. "Well, Erin said it herself, I was a District leader." Washington says. "You also said that was in the past, Washington." Kiki says, tilting her head. "I think I'll make a decent leader.." Erin says. "I saw so many good people die today by some fucking nut. That's due to poor planning. Thomas had a decent system going, but seriously, 'decent' won't get us far. And as for right now, I'm taking over as leader. You have a problem with that? You can go fuck yourself." Kiki says with a firm tone.
Washington and Erin look at Kiki with their eyes wide. "I say we let her." Quinton mutters. Washington, now realizing that Kiki's tougher than she was, nods in agreement with Quinton. "I'm okay with that. If Kiki's wants-" Washington says, but gets interrupted by Kiki's look she gave him. "One other thing, start calling me Kyanna, never liked the name Kiki.." Kyanna claims. "Sorry, Kyanna. Anyways, if she's okay with being the leader, then so be it. What's our first move, Kyanna?" Washington asks. "So, I was thinking that we circle the perimeter once and if we see no one, then we should just leave." Kyanna suggests. "That's smart, I like the idea.." Quinton says. "Fine, I suppose one loop around will be enough.." Erin says. "Let's go now, morning is near and we'll be able to see better." Kyanna says.
Quinton stands up and puts Abira in a makeshift pack since she's still not fully healed. Kyanna then walks over to the campfire and kicks dirt on it to put it out. "We're at District C right now.. And I'm thinking that we go clockwise, go to District D, then E, then A, to B, and finally back to C. Now let's get a move on." Kyanna informs and starts heading off with Quinton.
"There's so many biters on these barricades.." Erin says while they walked along the walls. "These are Disctrict D's gates, we're not going in there. We're looking in for anyone that might need help, then we're leaving. You hear me?" Kyanna says. "Okay, got it.." One of the others replies. Washington and Erin both grab a side of a gate then swing them open, going different directions. Kyanna has a smal pistol readied, the only gun in that small group right now, and walks at least three yards inside. "See anyone? Or anything?" Erin questions and struggles to hold the gate open. Kyanna then walked back outside shaking her head. "Keep moving, it as just.. Empty in there." Kyanna says walking passed the three.
It was a short walk to the next District's gates. "We're here, District E. Washington, Erin, get those gates open." Kyanna orders. So they did, and what they saw next left them in a hurry to get those gates closed. "What the fuck are you two doing? I said open them?!" Kyanna complains. "If you really want fifty dead ones piling on top of us, I'll be happy to." Erin says, stepping back at the sound of the horde building pressure against the gates. "Let's leave, now. There's no one to be saved here." Kyanna says.
