"Get her in the car.. Quietly!" A voice says, ironically loud. Loud enough to wake me up. I'm concerned what this is, so I make my way off of the military truck and peek around to see one of the cars now parked on the edge of the road. "She's in? Good. Now take her to the hospital, when you get there, they'll most likely have lookouts that'll approach you at the gate, from what Thomas has told us." The voice, seems like Sergent Warner from the sound of it. "What if she does remember it?" Garrison now says. "Don't worry about that.. You two just get her there and let me deal with everything else, got it?" Warner then replies. "Whatever.. You just better hope this works." Garrison mutters.
Warner then began to make his way to the back of the truck, and I quickly hopped back in and layed down next to Jess, looking over my sleeping mates and to Warner glance up as he walked to the front of the truck. My hurried movements woke Jess and she began to stir herself awake. "Thomas? What's wrong.." She mutters as she saw me breathing heavily. "I'll tell you in the morning. Just go back to sleep." I tell her, then sit up at the wall, thinking to myself about how it's all too good to be true.
A couple hours later, the morning sun shined through the fabric covering the military truck and caused the group to wake up. As the group was eating, I watched the car from earlier return, though they were without Kyanna, while Garrison and Flint climbed out looking serious. Warner climbs up on the truck and stands at the edge, taking his cap off. "Ladies and gentlemen, I have some.. Unsettling news, you may continue to eat as I tell you." Warner says softly. They all looked at him with confused, distraught faces, while I just look at them, already aware of the news, and not convinced of their story as Warner told it. "We did my men to look for your dear Kyanna, though we couldn't find her. Our best guess is that she's at the mental facility that Thomas discovered, and kidnapped the two other friends you people had." Warner describes.
As Warner concluded the information and walked off, I grabbed the group to come closer to avoid me having to speak louder, loud enough to where the decieving militants could hear me. "I know where Kyanna is." I stated. "W-Where is she?" Theodore asks, not looking at us. "Well, she's at the mental facility with Indigo and Erin. I only know this because early this morning I saw three of those lying fucks loading Kyanna into a car, then driving off with her." I describe. "So, what are we going to do?" Athena asks. "My group has been through this before. Erin's been captured and broke her way out.. As well as Fay. We'll get our people back, it will either go down in flames or it can go peacefully. Either way, we'll get our people back." I say, and cross my arms. "Now, what are we going to do about the militants? We going to keep traveling with them?" Alyson asks. "Well, we know where they're headed. I say keep our eyes out for them, keep our distance from them, restrain from talking to them. If it gets out of hand, then we'll confront them." I reply.
Kyanna wakes up in a room in a white hospital gown, and looks around the room only to see her clothes cleaned and folded up. She quickly changes out of the gown and into her fresh clothes, as it seemed too obscure to be in the gown. She reached for the doorknob, expecting it to be locked, though it was surprisingly unlocked. Even more surprisingly, Kyanna found Erin and Indigo in an open room at the end of the hallway. Indigo wasn't wearing his armor, and wearing bandages on his ribs, his arm in a sling, and numerous scratches and bruises on his face. "Kyanna! I thought I saw you on the gurney being brought in here. But.. Why are you in here?" Erin greets. "From what I remember, I overheard Grace and Scruggs talking about how Warner and Garrison ordered them to shoot up Athena's group. I confronted them, then Warner came from behind me and knocked me unconscious." Kyanna explains. "I'm just going to assume they brought me here during the night?"
"So, do we have a plan to break out of here?" Indigo asks. Though, the three turn their attention to a woman dressed as a nurse pushes a cart with their gear and packs to them. "There's no need to break out. Your people are here to get you. Your weapons are laying on the ground outside. Whenever you're ready to leave, you can. Though, since your people dropped you off here, I personally suggest you don't leave. Though it's your choice, hon'." The nurse says, and walks off, leaving the cart with us. "Won't be nessecary. We only have a few bad people." Kyanna mutters to herself. Indigo puts on his armor with the help of Erin while Kyanna and Erin grabbed the packs of supplies, then headed down the stairs for the exit. "Leaving here was fairly easy. Maybe because they knew we had people to take care of us." Indigo says. "That could very well be. They told me that they only brought in the people who needed psychological help. When we were trespassing over the walls, they thought we were trying to attack them. We straightened it out as we woke up and were getting bandaged." Erin says.
The three walked and picked up their weapons as they passed, and as they approached the larger group, the three pointed their guns at the militants. "Hey, hey, hey now.. Drop those weapons, kiddies. What's the big deal?" Warner asks. "You brought me in th-" Kyanna began to say, but I widen my eyes and shake my head. "Drop it. We'll discuss this later. Just load up for now and we'll talk on the way there. Do I make myself clear?" I demand Kyanna, and nod after she did the same. I would then help everyone load up, Alyson, Kyanna, Jess, then myself. And we took off.
"So, what the fuck are we going to do with these people, Thomas?" Kyanna asks. "I'm thinking, we stay with them until we arrive North Carolina, or somewhere near there." I say. "Wait, what are we going to do?" Athena asks, now wondering about the plans. "They're headed for a potential safehaven.. We don't stay with them? It'd be the stupidest thing we could ever do." I reply. "So, you're saying we stay with the people who killed my friends, and destroyed my home? What the fuck is wrong with you, bitch?" Athena asks. "We have no choice. It's the smart thing to do." I reply. "You just better hope no one else gets hurt by these fucking liars, or else it'll be bad on your terms, bitch." Athena says, and looks away.
It was silent after that, we're paired off again, as usual. Indigo grunts as he takes his good arm and reaches into his pocket and pulls out a pill bottle, handing it to Fay who was sitting next to him. "I found the medicine you need.." He mutters. Fay smiles and hugs him. Seeing him do that reminded me, and I reach in my pack and pull out Jess' book, tossing it to her as she was sitting across from me. "Forgot to give this to you. Grabbed it on our way out." I smile. "Awesome! Thanks, Thomas." Jess says, then folds the page of the book she was reading at the moment, sets it aside, and began reading the one I had just gave her.
We traveled for hours, no traffic means better distance faster. We were already in the state of Missouri, which was our next main stop.
