Chapter 8

After the incident earlier, you, Jimin and Yoongi head back to great hall for dinner although you didn't want to eat anything because of what happened earlier and not to mention the stares of numerous students who witnessed the event earlier and the students who heard rumours about it. You didn't know how to even face Taehyung and Jungkook after that awkward thing in the corridor.

"Don't let them bother you. Just eat and act like you don't care and eventually no one would ever care about what you do." Yoongi advised.

"Yeah. Yoongi's right. Don't let them faze you especially now that they know me and Yoongi are protecting you. I swear, they can't harm a single strand of hair from you." Jimin reassured.

"Thanks guys. I really thought you were complete assholes but turns out you really had something good under your sleeves." You patted both of them in the back. "But you know me, I can handle myself."

"If you say so, princess." Jimin chuckled.

Once you arrive at the Great Hall, you earned stares from everyone. You tried not to care and continued to walk to the Gryffindor table as Jimin and Yoongi made their way to their table. You continued walking trying to keep your chin up even though their stares seemed like daggers to you.

"Y/N!" A loud, familiar voice shouts through the Great Hall and suddenly, you were enveloped in a tight hug between two tall boys who you call your best friends.

"We're so sorry we left you alone." Jungkook apologized and tightened the hug.

"We should've stayed by your side." Taehyung was close to crying and you were close to suffocating.

"Alright, alright." You tapped both of them to let go and they did. "It's all good now." You smiled.

"But we heard what happened in the courtyard. I could never forgive myself." Jungkook said.

"So could I." Taehyung seconded.

"Guys, really, it's fine. Can we not cause a scene here?" You laughed which made them smile.

"Sure. Come on, let's go and eat."

After you three enjoyed your scrumptious meals, you all head back to the Gryffindor common room. You told them all about what happened earlier. You thought you could never see them the same again and they admitted too but turns out, nothing really had changed and the awkwardness they felt earlier was gone as if nothing happened.

"How about we continue where we left off?" Jungkook joked.

"Yeah how about it." You rolled your eyes then the three of you laughed.

As you enter the Gryffindor common room, everything seemed normal, no one gave you stares or even bothered you or them. It was like a reset button had just been hit. You see Jennie and the girls on the couch near the fireplace, they were the only ones giving you the stares. Jennie stood up and walked out to the dormitories followed by her friends.

"Looks like someone's a bit cranky." Taehyung snickered.

"We both owe it to Min Yoongi. That guy, I swear I won't cross a line with him, he's too scary." Jungkook said.

The three of you sat down at the couch where Jennie sat earlier so you could chat for a while before going to bed.

"The Triwizard Tournament starts in 2 days! I bet Ji—I mean Seokjin's anxious. We should go and see him tomorrow." You said.

"He's fine, Y/N. You underestimate the guy. He's tough." Taehyung said.

"Enough about worrying for Jin, I'm sure you're nervous too." Jungkook said.

"Yeah..I can't believe I'm competing in the Triwizard Tournament too." You took a deep breath.

"You'll be fine. Beat Jin okay? We'll be cheering for you." Taehyung said as he tapped your shoulder.

"Cheer for Jin too. He's your brother!" You playfully punch Taehyung on this arm.

"Alright! I'll cheer for him but not as much as I'll cheer for you." Taehyung winked which made Jungkook smack the back of his head. "Ow!"

"That's enough flirting for today, Tae." Jungkook said which made you snort.

"By the way, we do need to drop by Hagrid's tomorrow. I went there earlier and told me he's got some spoilers for the first challenge!"

"Woah. You mean we're cheating?" Jungkook whispered making sure no one hears.

"Relax. It's not cheating, it's an advantage point." Taehyung argued.

"We have an advantage point because we're cheating." Jungkook face palmed himself which made you and Taehyung laugh.

"Fair point." You surrendered.

After the little chat you three had shared, you all went to bed and start to prepare for tomorrow's class again.

Classes for the day had finished and you and Jungkook went to the library to finish an essay due tomorrow. Taehyung wasn't with you since his stomach was feeling a bit cranky.

"Do I look okay?" You ask Jungkook who was sitting with you in the library. You finished doing your essay first and started to fix your hair because you had an interview for the Daily Prophet. Jungkook raised his head to look at you.

"You look like you've been in Azkaban. What the hell did you do?" Jungkook snickered.

"What do you mean!" You huffed.

"You look like you've gone mad. Your hair looks..weird?" Jungkook said.

"I think it looks good. It's a signature witch style." You said. You curled your hair using a spell to make it look curly and bouncy which wasn't your natural style since you had slightly wavy, silky hair a bit below shoulder length.

"Stray hairs everywhere! Were you electrocuted?" Jungkook said as he got his wand. "Anyways, you don't have to doll up for that interview. You look great when you're you." He said and waved his wand and tapped your head which made your hair go back to it's normal appearance. "There, beautiful." Jungkook looked at you softly and smiled.

"Thanks Kookie." You said while staring into his hazel brown eyes and smiled.

You didn't realize that both of you were staring at each other for quite some time when you heard someone clear their throat. You expected it was Taehyung but it was Park Jimin.

"Jimin? What are you doing here?" You asked.

"I'm here to fetch my girlfriend, of course. My father is going to arrive shortly together with the other ministry governors so it's best if we greet them by the entrance." Jimin said.

"But I have an interview for the Daily Prophet in 20 minutes." You replied.

"We'll be quick." Jimin reassured. You looked at Jungkook and he just nodded.

"You go ahead, you'll know where to find me." Jungkook gave you a small smile. "Good luck on that interview. You're gonna be just fine!"
