Chapter 15

Xiao woke up to find Ganyu sleeping on top of him. Xiao sat up, but winced from the pain in his stomach and lay back down. Ganyu woke up and yawned. "Good morning Xiao!" "Good morning Ganyu." Xiao replied.

Xiao looked at her and felt peaceful inside. He loved the feeling of her warmth on him, and he... he loved her. And he hated himself for it. Anyone who gets too close to him would die. He didn't want Ganyu to suffer. But him loving her was inevitable. 

Ganyu looked at the time. 8:00. I have time to sleep. She closed her eyes and fell asleep in Xiao's arms. The yaksha smiled and closed his eyes.

2 hours later...

"Ah! I've got to go to work!" Ganyu exclaimed. She leaped out of Xiao's arms and ran to her room. Xiao was going to get up and follow her but remembering his wound, he relaxed on the bed.

"To kill the yaksha, first we must kill the heart." The ginger hair man instructed his Fatui skirmishers. "The half Qilin Ganyu seems to be close to him nowadays... Take her out."

The Fatui were smart. Incredibly smart. They planned everything before hand, so they already knew that she worked at the Yuehai Pavilion and they knew exactly where to go to find her and to capture her.

Ganyu was walking calmly to the Yuehai Pavilion. She took her time, looking around the beautiful Liyue Harbor. She was walking up the stairs when a bullet flew past her. "Don't move or else another bullet will fly." 

She looked behind her and saw 4 Fatui skirmishers. She was about to take out her bow when more of them jumped down. 8, 10 of them! Ganyu let go of her bow. "W-What do you want?" Ganyu asked, her voice quivering.

"Heh. Come with us." One of them spoke. Ganyu was in no condition to refuse so she went with them. 

Xiao felt a jolt of fear. "Ganyu?" He asked softly. She's in trouble! Xiao quickly got up from the bed, ignoring the pain, and left the house in a hurry. 

He ran to the pavilion and found her, getting captured by the Fatui. He shouted out, but no words came. He collapsed to the floor, the physical pain and mental pain of not being able to save Ganyu crushing him to the ground. "N-No Ganyu!" Xiao gasped. 

The Fatui had captured Ganyu. The reality of Xiao not being able to save her hit him hard. He let out a cry of agony. Tears fell from his face. Ganyu... You have caused me more pain than anyone else. But you have also provided me with someone I can love. Someone who loves me. Ganyu. I love you.
