Classes slowly came and went for Annabeth. She was still distraught over the encounter of her lost friend.

What the hell is this feeling

Annabeth quietly clutched her chest. It felt like she was drowning with no one to save her. She technically had no one left besides Thalia. Her parents don't want her and now Percy as well. Annabeth still remembers the day when the last straw hit the camel's back

"Annabeth! I have something to tell you!" the twelve year old boy says excitedly.

Annabeth's heart quickened as she stares into playful green eyes reminding her of the sea.

"I uh... I have something to tell you too." Annabeth nervously says.
Was today the day she was finally going to tell him?

"But uh... but you go first." she suggested.

Percy grabs Annabeth's shoulders, stopping her in the deserted middle school halls.

"Ok!" he says slightly shaking her. Annabeth couldn't focus anymore, she was admiring Percy quietly, wanting to once again comb through his fluffy black hair so badly.

'Is it fluffy?' she asks herself. 'I haven't touched it in a while now'

"-Like Rachel!" Percy flustered he said that loudly finished.

"Wait what?" Annabeth whispers confused, feeling her heart stop beating.
"I like Rachel, Annabeth! I think i'm going to ask her out." Percy says again a little annoyed. Annabeth steps outside of Percy's grasp.

"Seriously Percy? We're only twelve." She quickly says trying to hold tears back."Percy you can't possibly like her!"

Percy gave Annabeth a glare, making her dizzy with feelings. "You're my best friend Annie bell, I thought you were suppose to support me in my decisions."

"I'm sorry Percy but this is just plain stupid! You know how she treats boys." Annabeth tries to reason with him.

"Guess what Annabeth? Maybe I'm different!" Percy scoffs and leaves her. "Don't talk to me until you got rid of your pessimistic view." He lastly shouts turning the corner, running to find Rachel. Annabeth slowly slid to the floor, hands holding her broken heart.

'What have I done?' She inwardly yells

Tears finally escaped her closed lids, Annabeth slowly curls herself into a ball.

"He was the only one left in my life," she half heartedly whispered.

'I wanted to tell you Percy that I love you more than friends'

Annabeth got out of the lunch line with an apple and water. With haste she got to her table all the way to the back, Thalia already sitting there. "You never told me that important thing Thalia," she slid into her seat across from her biting into her apple.

"Girl, aren't you going to eat more than that?" Thalia gestured with her hands. Annabeth gave her a tired glance, showing her friend that she was still not happy with their last encounter.

"Okay okay whatever," Thalia changes the subject.

"When I got to my locker today, a note fell out! Guess who it is from?"

Annabeth rolls her eyes, "It's not that womanizer Luke is it? He's always doing this." Luke is a distant friend between Thalia and Annabeth, but he likes to try to gain more approval from Thalia.

"It looks like he's trying to tell you something, Miss Oblivious." Annabeth chuckles.

"As if, that jerk wad can suck it." They both laugh, continuing to eat their food. Thalia glanced behind Annabeth to look at the table in the center of the lunchroom. They thought it was always cliche when they have specific groups in specific tables.

"I don't understand why you like THAT jerk." Thalia sighed. Annabeth follows her glance to look at said jerk. " Wow, that looks very unsanitary." Thalia cringed as Rachel put a French fry in her mouth and kissed Percy unexpectedly, sliding the French fry into his mouth. When Rachel turned back around, Percy took a napkin and spit the soggy french fry into it.
Annabeth sighed as Thalia laughed.

"I suppose he thinks so too."

Rachel glanced at their table, feeling eyes watching her every move. She gets hate everyday, so two measly little brats were not going to scare her. Rachel sweetly smiled and gave them a small wave. Annabeth and Thalia quickly turned around pretending they were not watching.

"Paige , can I ask you a favor?" Rachel makes puppy dog eyes at her.

"Of course! Anything for my bestie!" Paige quickly replies shooting a side glance at Sierra.

"Perfect, I know exactly what to do with those two wenches." Rachel states proudly.
