Chapter 8

I'm really sorry about not updating in a long time! I've just been so busy and school and social interactions and Netflix my gosh. I've finished all 10 seasons of Friends! I'm happy and sad. Anyway I tried to make this longer than usual and i'll try to update more often. I put in something special for you too. Okay thanks for reading!

Annabeth grumbled as she trudges to the front doors of high school. As usual, she ignores the whispers around her, unaware of the event that unfolded there last Friday. She walked down the hallway deciding not to go to her locker. Annabeth glanced to her right, looking at two random girls in confusion. They sneered at her and walked away arms linked and started talking loudly.

"I bet you she slept with the whole football team.""She probably does stuff in the boy's bathroom!" They glanced at her and giggled satisfied with the results.

"Maybe if you didn't have your plastic noses far up your butt you would know the truth..." Annabeth mumbled starting to walk again. She walked past the janitor closet and heard a distant noise in there. Normally she wouldn't care, she wouldn't doubt that there are mice in the school. But that sound didn't sound like an animal of any kind. Annabeth stopped in her tracks looking at the wooden door."Hello?" She knocked on the door. No answer.This made her even more curious. Annabeth decided to open the door slowly, it could still be something dangerous. She looked in the dark closet, a hand covered her mouth from screaming. Annabeth quickly brung her knee up to the attackers stomach while pushing them away. She prepared to take a swing at his face but then the attacker spoke.

"Annabeth stop it's me!" the familiar voice said.She hesitantly answered, "Percy?"A few shifts of items were heard as a light was finally turned on. Annabeth sighed with relief. She saw Percy holding his stomach slightly annoyed with her action."Sorry, I ah... Thought you were someone else."Percy sighed accepting her apology.

"It's fine, I just wanted... to see you this whole weekend."He slowly raised his hand to touch Annabeth's cheek. She closed her eyes for a few moments accepting his touch."Stop Percy stop, you can't keep doing this to me." she whispered opening her eyes."You were right about Rachel. Annabeth, I wish I could rewind time."

"Percy you don't know what you're talking about. I-""Annabeth I love you. I shouldn't have hid my feelings behind Rachel."Annabeth stumbled backwards trying to comprehend the words that was said to her."Annabeth listen to me." Percy said calmly reaching for her.

She raised her hand and bought it down onto Percy's face. He flinched, " Do I just have a slappable face?" he looked up to see Annabeth's face full of steaming tears. She ran full force at him and wrapped her arms around him gasping for air. Percy got over his shock and wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Why the h*ll did it take years to notice but a week to tell me?"Annabeth clutched his shirt. Percy pulled her tighter against his body, whispering sweet nothings into her ear to calm her down. Minutes felt like hours as time passed, the two teenagers still in hiding."

Annabeth, Rachel has it out for you." Percy finally muttered, a finger curling her blond hair giving it a tug."You just noticed." Annabeth laughed to herself.

"I pulled you in here to tell you that she is plotting something." he ignored her sarcastic answer. Annabeth paused, remembering what happened last Friday."How... How do you know about the package?"Percy pulled Annabeth away so he could see her face."What package... Did you not hear about Friday?"

"F-friday?" Annabeth said with slight relief.

'Should I tell Percy about the mystery guy? or should I do this alone. He is already in danger...'She bit her lip, finally pulling away from him.

"Never mind about the package. Percy I don't want to date you after Rachel-"

They both heard the door creak open and saw a flash enter the closet.

"See everyone! I told you he was cheating on me, with Annabeth no less!"Annabeth and Percy glared at the intruding girl and the crows around her.

"Shut up Rachel it's not what it looks like-"Rachel smirked and held up her phone with the photo in triumph.

"It's exactly what it looks like, Innocent Annabeth is actually sl*tting it up behind closed doors."Annabeth snarled and stepped closer to her,

"Like you haven't done that to everybody at school."Rachel didn't back down, she knew she had to win this fight to actually make progress in her plans.

"So, Princess B*tch admits it." Rachel stared straight into her eyes.Nobody said a word as they watched Annabeth stare down Rachel waiting to see what happens next.

"Annabeth-" Percy began but was interrupted by Annabeth's fist connecting to Rachel's cheek. Everyone gasped as Rachel stumbled back.

"Oh so Princess B*tch wants to fight." Rachel spit little droplets of blood on the floor. Annabeth lunged straight at Rachel knocking them both down in the process.

"Fight! Fight! Fight!" the chants were getting louder, people slowly filling into a circle o no one could get in or out, including Percy.

"Annabeth stop!" his cries were lost in the chanting that could bring the authorities to them anytime. Annabeth didn't care anymore, she wanted to take down Rachel once and for all. She straddled Rachel and yanked her hair. Rachel was groping for any part of Annabeth as well but Annabeth slammed her head back to the ground. Light headed, Rachel reached her hands toward Annabeth's face roughly scratching her cheeks and forehead, blood beginning to mark both of their faces. Annabeth screeched with pain and tried to reach for Rachel's neck but was quickly pulled back before she could touch it. Annabeth struggled to get out of the interrupting person's grasp but the person lifted her off the floor and slammed her back to the ground for temporary sedation.

"What is the meaning of this?!" The principal shouted at the crowd which erupted in more yelling after seeing Annabeth being thrown towards the floor.

"She... She attacked me!" Rachel pointed her chipped finger towards her trying to catch her breath.The principal yanked Annabeth's arm up and immediately started walking towards the office, not even listening to her protests.

"She started it Principal Wells I-"

"That's enough Annabeth Chase. You will see what happens to delinquents who fight other students."The principal continued dragging Annabeth until he felt a tap on his shoulder.

"What Percy?" Principal Wells angrily asks while turning to look in his direction. He didn't finish speaking... Annabeth looked in shock as Percy punched the principal, knocking him towards the lockers.

"Oh holy freaking cow Percy! Is he unconscious?" She started to breath harder.Percy didn't answer her, instead he dragged her outside to the parking lot towards his car.

"Where are we going Percy?" Annabeth didn't bother to deny going with Percy right now. He literally knocked out an adult just for her so he deserves it.He still didn't answer as he opens the passenger door for her. He hops in the driver side and started in the engine.

"We're going shopping loser." He taps the steering wheel turning his head to grin at her.

"Come on Percy this is serious.... You just punched someone you could go to jail!" Annabeth hit his arm in protest.

"Lets go out of town then..." Percy stops grinning and looks into her eyes. Annabeth narrowed hers,

"Are you serious or..."

"Yeah Annabeth. I mean.... I almost killed someone today lets even more rebels and skip town for a while."Annabeth sighed settling back into her seat, there was no way he was going to change his mind, might as well go along with it.She stared out the window as the car started to leave the parking lot.

"Thanks... For beating the crap out of the person who could possible send you to jail." She mumbled quietly.She could hear Percy laugh, he gave her a towel to clean up.

"Anything for my Annie Bell."
