"You're basing this Ghoul theory on the monster becoming overconfident?"
"I think the technical term your searching for is evolution"
Trying my best to ignore the Cemetery Directors bland chatter about the dreary weather I gaze over the looming tomb. Patiently waiting for him to meander around his car. Tugging my black coat further wound me to ward off the chill my gaze admirably analyses the cursed arching and scripter. Dean and I decided to divide and conquer. He's checking out a bar the local Joe Barton owned before his death. I'm checking out the grave robberies. "The tomb was built in 1926", the Director wanders past to hobble up the stone steps. Allowing him to lead me over I flick out my torch to give myself better visibility when we enter the dark tomb. "Four generations of the Millsap family were interned here."
"You don't say", I light my way through the dark inside.
Hand tapping my shoulder, I flick my attention around when the Director pitches "Tell me, Agent... You give any thought as to where you might want to spend eternity?"
Chuckling under my breath, I stride past the Funeral Directors card "In a blaze of glory fighting the badest monsters out there."
"I suppose that is to be expected."
Nodding acknowledging over my shoulder I wander further into the tomb. Little did he know how serious I am. Further inside I trail my hands over the broken coffins reported on by authorities and reporters. The bodies inside snatched. Curiously, I ask "You have any thoughts on who did this?"
"Hooligans", the Funeral Director spits unhelpfully "Sick and deranged hooligans."When I shine my light over another broken tomb my gaze catches smoothing shine. Liquid spilling from the casket. Crouching down I work up the nerve to dab my finger against the liquid. Scrunching my nose at the thick texture of the dirty liquid, I recognise "Embalming fluid?"
"Yeah", The Director grits utterly disgusted "They didn't just take the corpses. They opened them up." Furrowing my brows I tilt my head rubbing the granular clumped liquid together. It must have been desperate to have gone after the dead with such malice and ferocity. No thought or care in the slightest.
