"I swear, Rosé, if you fall in there..." Jisoo says as a hush, aggressively fiddling with her shoelace.
Rosé clears her throat and nods firmly, stating with an equally firm voice, "I won't fall in there, Chu."
Jisoo hopes not. She really does.
"Alright, people! Time to die!" The group's guide hollers as his assistant snickers, the crowd not finding any of it amusing in any way.
"I think we shouldn't." A man whispers behind Jisoo and she almost wants to turn around and high-five him because she's feeling the same way.
When she looks at Rosé, the girl is grinning from ear-to-ear, her eyes twinkling like a child's. Jisoo sighs. They're doing this, after all.
"Be careful of the tracks! We don't want you dying outside the cave!" The guide shouts, voice amplified by the inside of the cave. Some people chuckle in a low hum, carefully stepping to the lower muddy land.
"Rosé, don't fa-" and Rosé falls with a dry splat, the sound of wetness masked by her coarse jeans.
Jisoo glares at her as the frightened girl looks up at her with a sheepish grimace.
"Just to be fair, I said I wouldn't fall in there, and this is clearly outside." Rosé gestures to the uneven ground as Jisoo pulls her up, not acknowledging her clumsy friend's logic.
When they were in high school, Jisoo had imagined this same scene in her head when her friends had offered for the duo to join them for a trip to this cave. She had somehow managed to dodge a bullet there, but now that she's accepted the offer of exploring this rotten cave by much persuasion on her chipmunk-like friend's part, she was presumably going to regret her decision. She hands Rosé a few tissues as the said girl pats her butt with them, cringing with her tongue stuck out.
"Child." Jisoo mutters as she pulls Rosé by the arm, now at the end of the line of the crowd as they all enter with hand-held fire-torches.
The water splashes under Jisoo's sneaker as she looks down to see yellow light reflected back at her. A medium-paced stream of water is flowing underneath their feet and she tightens her hand on Rosé's slender arm as the girl stumbles on a rock that's sticking out.
Jisoo turns back for a silent display of her irritation but Rosé gives her a timid look as she sighs and shakes her head, pulling her gently through the narrower space.

She reaches out her hand on the roof that feels much closer because it has enclosed further down than the rest of the path, her fingertips sliding over the unexpectedly dusty surface.
She looks down to the hand and squints, examining the coal-colored mark on her fingertips in the dim lighting.
She is soon disrupted when Rosé yelps and presses against her, successfully grazing her shoes on Jisoo's jeans and staining it.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Jisoo asks in a forceful hush as Rosé feverishly nods to the wall across from them and Jisoo tips her head forward to notice a brown spider, with its limbs yellowish by the end, the hue like one of a nymph. Jisoo grimaces, waving her torch at the creature as it scurries off, falling to the ground, earning another yelp from Rosé but then rising up again to disappear somewhere.
The flame wavers, lightening the wall the spider was sitting on, making visible some of the orangish surface below the first layer, because it has been scratched multiple times. The lines are crude, making it clear that it has been scratched a lot of times and with much effort as the lines curve to an "L".
Rosé gasps as Jisoo is at the verge of an eyeroll but stops when the former girl says, "I knew they were fucking back in high school!"
Jisoo frowns confusedly, but her eyes quickly fall to the scratches on the wall and she finally reads - Lalisa + Jennie.
"Well, shit." She breathes out.
