"Why in the heavens do you keep summoning me?!" Jennie exclaims in exasperation, her sharp teeth on display.

Lisa thinks it's so out of place amongst her other beautiful features.

"Heavens?" She opts to ask instead of creep the demon-girl out with a lovesick compliment like she did several other times, although that's pretty ironic given the fact that Lisa is the human amongst the two.

"Yes, heavens. It's cool. I hate how the chill settles on my skin. Much like invisible snow." Jennie grimaces, shivering a little, "And too much 'angelic' lighting. Hurts my eyes." Lisa watches the flames Jennie's eyes accommodate waver as she talks. "And there's grandma music playing like, all the time."

Lisa chuckles at that.

Jennie seems to snap out of it.

"But you! Why do you keep summoning me here? I think I have made it clear enough that I do not wish to sign with you. I am not going to be anybody's girlfriend." Jennie snickers a little viciously, giving Lisa a once-over, "Especially not a human's."

"Okay, look, I get it. All my money wasn't enough, even my cards...scary amounts of junk food, umm, the Egyptian antiques, and uh..." Lisa looks up at the ceiling, trying to list off everything she's offered to Jennie up until this point.

"Oh, stop it! I remember all of the cheap stuff you have offered. I would be painfully ashamed if I were you." Jennie says with a roll of her blazing eyes.

"I am." Lisa says as Jennie shakes her head as a response. "That's why I'm offering my soul today. That's what you want, yeah?"

In an instant, Jennie's demeanor shifts, her attention trained on Lisa.

"Did I hear you correct? Did you just say you are willing to offer your soul, human?" Jennie says, her body starting to fidget in obvious excitement.

"Yes. I will. If you agree to fall in love with me. You know, be my girlfriend and all."

Jennie tilts her head.

"Fall in love with you?" The tone of Jennie's question isn't biting, not maliciously directed at Lisa. It sounds more like she's confused.

"Yes. The contract should say so. You'll fall in love with me and be my girlfriend." Lisa explains in case Jennie wasn't able to catch the context.

Jennie giggles silly.

"Look, human...Fair warning and listen to me very carefully..." Jennie's flaming orbs stare into Lisa's, "It is highly likely that the contract will not be executed the way you want it to. That is, me falling in love with you." Lisa's face scrunches up in confusion and an amused expression passes Jennie's features. "I'm a demon at the end of the day. I am pretty sure such petty emotions are below the like of us." She says, Lisa finally understanding what she means.

"You're telling me you can't be in love with me." She states dejectedly, lowering her eyes to the floor.

"Nope!" Jennie says, her lips smacking to enunciate the 'p'.

When Lisa says nothing in return, Jennie decides to speak up.

"Why do you even want me to fall in love with you? You're...you know, according to the lowly human standards, you are pretty presentable. You could easily find a decent human girl to be your bed buddy, eh?" Jennie says.

"Jennie Ruby Jane." Lisa whispers.

"Umm...you have not just lost your mind, have you?"

"I've heard your name countless times in my dreams. Even before I knew you. I'm not into demons, Jennie. You were a blind spot. Then I saw you in my dreams. Twice. Before I looked you up. It took me a month to catch up on how to meet you. Here you are. Telling me you can't fall in love with me when I'm head over heels for you." Lisa says agitatedly, Jennie staring at her in confusion.

"I'm popular amongst the likes of me, alright? Humans summon me each day. You must have heard of me from somewhere. You will not make this into a fairytale-like narrative where we're meant to be together. That's such humanly bullshit." Jennie says with narrowed eyes. Lisa feels a tinge of jealousy at the middle of her chest at the mention of other humans summoning Jennie. She wants Jennie for herself.

Then it clicks.

"So you can't fall in love with me, but...like, you can be my girlfriend?" Lisa asks carefully.

Jennie studies her before answering, "I believe so."

"Let's sign it. The contract, I mean. You be my girlfriend, fall in love with me-" Lisa holds up her hand as Jennie is about to protest, "you said it was highly likely, not that you're sure you can't fall in love with me. I'm offering my soul, Jennie. It doesn't matter as long as you get what you want, right? And I'll take a shot at my chances."

Jennie hums.

"Yeah, I don't really mind. I don't give a fuck about any of the terms anyway. I just want your soul." She smiles sinisterly.

Lisa smiles back, disregarding her the demon's ill-will. "And you're all mine after you're my girlfriend. No meeting other humans. Just mine."

Jennie's eyes widen.

"Excuse me?"

"If you end up falling in love with me, it won't matter. And I want a fair deal. I'm offering my soul, after all." Lisa says, luring Jennie in with the mention of her soul.

"Yes, yes. I would not want my jealous colleagues to snatch up my position just because I backed out of the most ridiculous contract I have signed till date."

Lisa grins.

"Let's do this, then?"

"Oh, yeah. Close your eyes."

Lisa stares at the demon-girl dumbly.

"Why?"

"Oh, just do it! Do not test me. Foolish human." Lisa smiles a little, obliging.

"There. Say after me...I, Lalisa Manoban..."

"I, Lalisa Manoban..."

"Willfully agree to give away my soul to Jennie Ruby Jane..."

"In the terms that she shall be my girlfriend, only mine, and fall in love with me upon this contract being sealed amongst us human and demon."

"Hell as witness, this contract is now forged." Jennie declares, tapping Lisa's shoulder as the human picks up and opens her eyes.

"Hello there, gorgeous." Jennie says, the flames in her eyes dancing softly as she stares down at Lisa with adoration.

Lisa's eyes almost pop out of their sockets. Jennie shakes her head with a fond smile.

"You know, come to think of it, maybe I really did just fall in love with you."

It takes Lisa's breath away.
