Sad Excuse

CHAPTER 13

Izukus eyes darted to the end of the hall.

Katsuki.

Katsuki stared at Izuku with fear. He understood why Izuku was so terrified. He regretted leaving instantly.

Katsuki's blood boiled as his quirk unconsciously set off around his palms.
His mind blank, ready for havoc.

Katsuki launched himself towards the situation. He set off larger explosions from his right hand to propel him to the left, he slammed his foot against the wall and pushed off of it launching himself around the villian, in the blink of an eye Katsuki grabbed the villians hand with the katana and set off an explosion sending it flying.
The katana slipped against Izukus neck creating a mild gash on the left side.
The villain reacted quickly and threw Izuku into the wall and turned towards Katsuki who was behind.
"You pipsqueak!" The villain roared.

Izuku slammed into the wall followed by a yelp and coughs, he quickly turned his gaze to Katsuki as he slowly moved his right hand to his neck covering the wound as it bled.
He slowly sat himself up slightly.
"Lower right abdomen!" Izuku yelled coughing.
Katsuki reacted quickly. He propelled himself forward and used his right hand to launch him to the left wall, he quickly pushed off and propelled himself to the right side of the hall way bringing both his hands forward blasting his quirk as hard as he could into the right side of the villain.
The villain flew back and hit the floor. Feet away from the hero.

The hero moved quietly and slowly, and quickly knocked out the villain.

Izuku exhaled heavily, his left shoulder throbbing, that gash in his neck leaking.

"Izuku!!" Katsuki yelled running over to him. "Are you ok? I'm sorry! I just went to grab my things!" Katsuki quickly helped Izuku up.
"It's fine.. Kacchan.. you saved me.. Thankyou.."
Izuku kept his neck covered, blood leaking through the cracks of his fingers, seeping into his shirt.
"Oh my- your bleeding- are you diz-"
Katsuki was interrupted by the hero approaching.
"That was beautiful young man! How old are you? Your quirk is so- I am so impressed young man! I see so much potential! They way you used your quirk was so beautiful."
Katsuki looked at the hero and snarled. "He needs help.." he gesture to Izuku.
The hero shook it off. "How can you just forget what you just did young ma-"
Katsuki glared darts at him. "You're a hero right?!" He shouted angrily.
"Wha-"
"Civilians first!!" He interrupted as the hero got quiet.
"God you're useless!!" Katsuki shouted as he grabbed Izukus free hand and ran out of the building. "Ka-Kacchan!!" Izuku yelped in pain. "St-stop! Stop! Pl-please!"
Katsuki quickly froze and let go.
"What?! What happened?" He panicked.
"M-my arm.. my shoulder- he hurt it.." Izuku exhaled heavily as his left shoulder laid limp at the side of his body.
"I'm sorry.. just follow me quickly! You need help." Katsuki quickly made his way outside with Izuku behind him. There were cops surrounding the apartment.
"An injury!" He shouted running towards one of the policemen.
The policeman reacted quickly, "paramedics!"

Paramedics made their way swiftly and attended to Izukus wound, they left Katsuki behind taking Izuku towards the ambulance.
"K-Kacchan.."
Izuku resisted against the paramedics looking back at Katsuki.
"W-wait.. k-Kacchan..!"
But he was pulled away.
Katsuki watched Izukus distress and began to follow but the hero appeared in front of him once again.
"Your age young ma-"
"Leave me alone!" He growled and walked around running after Izuku.
The hero huffed. "What's the matter?" The policeman approached the hero.
"You caught him this time, no need to be so stressed. You did great."
The hero shook his head and sighed. "I can't take all the credit. I may have injured him.. but that little kid was the one that disarmed him when I couldn't. And knocked him down.. when I knocked him down he got right back up, when that kid did it.. it gave me enough time to get up and knock him out.. the other kid knew his weak spot, it- It doesn't make any sense the injured one was- how did he know?... he looked so dissociated during the entire thing.. it doesn't make any sense.."
The hero mumbled and looked at the policemen.
"You still have the camera on your suit?"
The hero's eyes widened.
"Post the video, or bring it to the hero agency, I'm sure they'd love to see it, including if you see potential."
The hero nodded. "You're right.. I'm leaving.. the two civilians are being treated righ-" he glanced at the ambulance and saw the two. "Yeah.. I'll see you around." He then looked at the policeman.
The policeman sighed and nodded. "Good work, the rest is left to us." He nudged the hero's arm as he quickly left and the policeman told his coworkers about what the hero just told him.

"We've minimized the bleeding, we have to take him to the hospital."

Izuku furrowed his brows and sighed. "Hm.." he glanced at Katsuki as he argued with the paramedics to do it there in the ambulance.

"Kacchan.. I-it's ok.." he mumbled as Katsuki quieted down. "I'm going with." He stated sternly and got into the ambulance sitting down.
The paramedics shrugged and sighed helping Izuku get strapped in as they monitored him.
"Sir, what's this?" They gestured to his collar, it had a deep slash on the left side where the wound was.
"It-" Izuku was interrupted
"It shows his heart rate; green, yellow, red. A simple fluctuation won't change the color, it only changes when it's serious." Katsuki grumbled tracing his finger on the floor.
"Is he your caregive-"
"No!!" Katsuki looked up quickly glaring.

Izuku giggled and winced at the pain in his neck.
"Don't move too much.. the bleeding hasnt completely stopped."

Izuku acknowledged and closed his eyes. He wasn't scared anymore, he felt at ease. But his head was growing light and dizzy.

"You said the light was green when all is well?"
"Yes." Katsuki grumbled moving his eyes back to the floor.
"There's no light coming from i-"

Katsuki stood quickly and looked at the collar.
His eyes grazed over the large gash in the side of it. He was no longer panicked. The collar may have been broken, but it saved Izukus life.
"He'll have to get another made.."
Katsuki mumbled and took the collar off then sat on the floor inspecting it.

Once they arrived they rolled Izuku inside, as soon as he entered.
"It's Izuku!!"
"Izukus here! Open a room!"
"Izuku!"
"Midoriya needs a room!!"
"There's an emergency! Izukus here!"

Katsuki stood behind and watched as all the doctors hustled to take Izuku as a priority.
He was a regular of course.
It's mind blowing to him.

Izukus main doctor approached Katsuki.
"Bakugo, what happened?"
Katsuki looked at him and showed the ruined collar.
"Villain attack.. he knew it'd happen, I don't know how, but he did.. his neck was injured, but the collar was damaged more than he was. Oh- his shoulder.. needs to be looked at.."
Katsuki explained as the doctor took the collar.
"I can make another. He's not fatal."

Katsuki nodded.
"I'll be in the wa-"
"I'll bring you to the room he'll be put in after surgery."
Katsuki nodded as they walked to the room.
He sat down and the doctor left, he waited for two hours before Izuku was brought in and laid along the bed.
Izukus necked was wrapped, and he had a sling on his left arm. But he looked peaceful.

Katsuki felt relieved again, seeing Izuku safe allowed him to sleep.
