The next morning arose once again. It was warmer, and the slight breeze was cool, the morning birds were singing away.
Mitsuki had walked her way upstairs and into Katsuki's room, she woke Katsuki first, "Katsuki, wake up and get ready for school hun.",
Katsuki grumbled and sat up. "Mhn.. Goodmorni- Egh..", he glanced over at the green haired boy sleeping on a mattress upon the ground. "Why is he still here mama?", Mitsuki then looked over and sighed. "His father was unable to come pick him up yesterday."
Izuku turned onto his back, he whimpered softly as the light on his collar turned a bright yellow.
"Ahh..", Mitsuki moved to the floor and shook Izuku lightly. "Izuku wake up hun.", He whined softly and opened his eyes. Katsuki growled and got up. 'He's gonna steal all of mamas attention if he stays. Hes annoying'. Katsuki thought to himself before slipping on his small kindergarden uniform then walked to kitchen and sat at the table, waiting. On the other hand Mitsuki was talking to Izuku, after sometime she walked to the kitchen and prepared a breakfast for Katsuki and Izuku.
"Where's dad, mom?", Katsuki asked. "Hes out of town for work remember.", she replied. "Oh, yeah."
Izuku soon walked into the kitchen and looked around. "U-Uhm.. G-Goodmorning...", he gave a warm smile and sat by Katsuki at the table, Mitsuki set two pieces of toast infront of Katsuki, butter and strawberry jelly. Katsuki smiled and ate happily. Izuku then tilted his head down.
"What do you want to eat Izuku?". He shrugged, he was only allowed to eat health things, like eggs, the natural vegetables and a very selected amount of fruits. "Do you have any strawberries..?", He spoke quietly. "Yeah, is that all you want hun?", she asked.
"Yes ma'am", he smiled.
Mitsuki opened her fridge getting out a small tub of strawberries. She grabbed a handful and washed them off, then cut them into fours, placing them on a small plate for Izuku. "Eat up, there's school today.", They nodded and Katsuki finished up. He ran to the bathroom and brushed his teeth and kind of fixed up his spiked ash blond hair. Izuku took his time with the strawberries. He loved them. But he wasn't allowed to have a lot of fruits because of the natural sugars inside of them. And hence his health was fragile, it was hard to feed him things.
Izuku finished them and sat there. "You ok Izuku?", Mitsuki asked. "Mhm", he hummed looking down.
She was worried for the smaller boy for sure, he had poor health and Inko disappeared. His father was unable to pick him too. She sighed and nodded walking out of the kitchen to the living area where Katsuki had also just entered with a packed bag. "Im ready Mama.", She nodded, "Izuku come grab your things hun.", Izuku had gotten up and collected grabbing his things. "Your dad is picking you up after school Izuku.", Mitsuki spoke and Izuku nodded. "Ok..", he smiled. Mitsuki then walked out the door with the two boys following behind. Mitsuki put both in the back seat. "We have all our things right?", she asked as they nodded. Mitsuki smiled and got into the drivers seat driving them to school.
Once they arrived Izuku followed Katsuki to class. Izuku went straight to his seat while Katsuki went to talk to his friends.
Izuku sighed and laid his head down waiting for his teacher to quite down the class.
Soon the teacher explained the lesson and the day passed on quickly, recess then came around but Izuku stayed inside. And Katsuki payed no attention.Izuku spent this time drawing.
Recess ended and all the kids piled into the classroom paying no attention to Izuku- who had fallen asleep.
Katsuki had walked over to the sleeping boy and proceeded to stare at him. "Hey. Hey broccoli. Wake up.", he shook Izuku a bit forcefully. Izuku had fluttered his eyes open and looked at Katsuki. "Oh... Hello...", he sat up and yawned. "My chest hurts..", Izuku complained.
"Sucks.. school is about to end.", Katsuki grunted.
"Oh.. thats ok.. dad is always late for everything... he'll probably just forget about me...", Izuku laid his head back down and closed his eyes. Katsuki slapped him across the back of his head.
"Don't talk about your father like that! Stupid Deku!", Katsuki yelled insulting him.
Izuku bit his lip and covered the back of his head trying to rub the pain away. "My name isn't- It hurts.. ouch... I'm sorry...", Izuku whined.
School ended and Katsuki and Izuku waited together. Mitsuki arrived a bit late to pick up Katsuki, when she saw Izuku still there, she sighed as Katsuki entered the vehicle and she drove home. "Izuku thinks his dad will be late to pick him up.",
"Hun, he already is.", she responded.Izuku waited patiently at the playground, a few hours passed and he had moved under the playset laying on the blacktop. He waited and waited as the sky turned to a dark blue hue. Izuku felt tears fall. "He forgot about me... it's cold..",
Izuku let his hot tears spill down his face. His collar turned yellow as he began to cough. "Mhn... how could he forget me... again... mom did too..", Izuku bit his lip and wiped his tears. "Ahh.. big kids don't cry...".A few hours passed.
Back at the Bakugo home present time Mitsuki got a call from Hisashi. "Hello, Mitsuki speaking.",
"I'm so sorry I called so late. I know it's midnight, but-",
"It's fine. How's Izuku? He was afraid you'd forget about him.",
"I-Izuku? What do you mea- Shit..! I haven't picked him up, I've been at work all day. Did you take him back to your place when you saw him?",
"Hisashi!? How could you forget your own kid?! He's-", Mitsuki hung up. "Katsuki I'll be back!!", she screamed grabbing her car keys and running out the front door getting into her car. "Damnit Hisashi.. If this kid is still at the park..", Mitsuki growled mumbling to herself as she drove to the park passing the speed limit. As she arrived she hopped out. "Izuku!", he yelled walking upon the blacktop. She took out her phone and turned the flash light on. She then saw a small figure under the slide. She ran over to see a shivering pale Izuku. His collar shined a radiant red. She grabbed his bag and picked him up swiftly running to the car, she placed him on the backseat where he stayed asleep. She turned on the heater and drove to the hospital.
As she arrived, she got out in a hurry and took Izuku out and entered. "Hell-", The women at the front desk started yelling before Mitsuki could say anything. "Izukus here!! Open up a room!",
Despite his young age he was an original. A nurse snatched him from Mitsuki and ran off to a room. "Hey! Wait!", Mitsuki yelled confused. "Calm down. They're just going to set him up. Can I have your name.",
"I'm his emergency number- Bakugo Mitsuki.", she spoke 'rationally', "oh yes. You can wait in the waiting room and our doctors will notify you upon his condition. Wheres Inko?",
"She disappeared yesterday morning.", Mitsuki sat down. "Hisashi?",
"Work.", Mitsuki growled.
The receptionist nodded and began to type away at the keyboard in front of her, thirty minutes passed and a doctor walked out to Mitsuki.
"Izuku is stable and fine. His temperature was low and it caused his heart to slow. But other than that there's no complications.",
Mitsuki nodded, "Thankyou",
"Can I ask why he was brought in so late?", The doctor asked.
"Mr Midoriya- Hisashi was supposed to pick him up after school- he advised me that I didn't because he would, and he forgot about Izuku leaving him outside.",
The doctor sighed. "Ok well I'd like Izuku to stay here for a few days, because the sudden decrease in his temperature may be fatal if fluctuated.",
Mitsuki nodded. "Do I need to sign anything.",
"No ma'am you can head home.",
Mitsuki nodded and ran her fingers through her hair and walked out to her car getting in. She looked at her phone- thirteen miscalls from Hisashi. She sighed and called him where he answered immediately. "I had to go find your damn child.", she grunted. "I can't believe you forgot about him! And now Inko is missing- After how you guys treat him how is he so polite and happy all the time?!", she ranted whilst pulling out of the parking lot and driving home.
"I know- Wait was he still at the school, where is he now? Let me talk to him",
"He's in the hospital. His collar was red. And his body was pale and cold but they said he's stable, and that he'll do fine, but they're keeping him there for a few days",
"Damnit.. I'm so sorry Mitsuki Thankyou for watching my son.",
"Sure. But you should apologize to your son. I have to go Hisashi", she hung up and pulled into her drive way and got out grabbing Izukus bag, she walked inside. "Katsuki why are you still awake?!", she looked at her son who sat on the couch watching tv. "You're the one who woke me up before you left. I couldn't sleep after.". Katsuki pouted. "Isn't that Izukus bag?",
"Yeah, his dad forgot about him leaving him at the park. He's in the hospital right now", Katsuki stayed silent.
Izuku was right and Katsuki slapped him for it. "Mama.. I'm sorry..",
"For what Hun?", Mitsuki looked at him. "Izuku told me his dad would forget or be late and I slapped him for it... but he was right and didn't deserve to be slapped...", Katsuki looked down fidgeting with his hands. "It's fine hun. Let's go to bed.", Mitsuki turned the tv off and picked up Katsuki walking upstairs and into Katsuki's room where she laid him down in bed. "Goodnight Katsuki.",
"Goodnight mom..", he yawned before closing his eyes.
