Months began to pass as Izuku was going back to school with katsuki.
Inko would leave the house early morning and come back late at night. Almost everyday was the same schedule.

Hisashi worked more because Inko quit her job. Despite quitting she still would disappear during the day.

Izuku would go to mitsukis after school and be picked up when Hisashi got off work.

Izuku didn't mind the schedule. He loved hanging out with Katsuki. And Mitsuki was always so nice to him.

Present time

Izuku and Katsuki sat at their table working on a worksheet together. The school day was nearing the end as Izuku yawned.
"Tired Deku?..", Katsuki looked at him.
Izuku nodded and rubbed his eyes. "mhm... i always feel tired now... I don't like it very much..", he yawned again and finished the worksheet.
"You should sleep more then.. simple.", Katsuki mumbled.
"I sleep a lot... my body is just being weird..", Izuku whined and laid his head down against the desk closing his eyes. "Hm... maybe cause I'm sick...", Izuku mumbled.
Katsuki furrowed his brows and flicked his head. "You're not sick... you're fine ok?.." he responded.
"Hm..", Izuku glanced at him and nodded.

Katsuki knew Izuku wasn't well, and he knew that he wouldn't get better anytime soon. But he hated when Izuku mentioned it. He hated it because he knew it was true, and despite him being unable to represent his 'love' to Izuku. He hated the thought of losing his bestfriend. Katsuki knew that Izuku slept a lot. He often would get back to Katsuki's and fall asleep until it was time for him to leave. Some days he had more energy than others, while others he'd be completely worn out.

Often he would leave for recess with Katsuki, and he'd often try and play tag with him and his friends or try and play in general. But he was never able to run fast enough, let alone long enough to have any fun. His breath ran out too quickly and he'd have issues breathing. His collar would often always shine a bright yellow, sometimes even red. Izuku never complained though, he'd keep his issues to himself. And if he lost a game of tag, or if he couldn't continue he'd just smile and let them know he didn't have enough energy. But he hated giving up, even then he'd attempt to push himself until he couldn't stand or until his collar flashed that horrendous red hue. It worried Katsuki all the time. But he knew Izuku was strong, and that he was stubborn. He knew Izuku could last much longer than he presented.

Katsuki's friends did disapprove of Izuku, completely, and hated when he played with them. He was either too slow, or boring to play with. They hated when he'd randomly stop playing including when he was 'it'. They'd have to pause the game and restart the game. They hadn't a clue why Katsuki was friends with such a weak kid. Including the outsider of the class.

The school day ended as Mitsuki was driving the two home, Izuku fell asleep almost immediately after getting buckled in. Katsuki spoke up to his mother.

"M-mama.. Dekus getting weaker...", he mumbled sadly.
Mitsuki sighed and stopped at a red light. "I know hun.. he'll be ok though.. he's just been tired.",

"M-mama.. it's everyday.. he's always tired.. I don't wanna lose him yet..",
Mitsuki felt her eyes tear up as she began driving again. "Baby you won't lose him.. he still has a long life ahead of him. He's just tired, nothing serious, ok?",

Katsuki nodded and looked at Izuku tearing up. "Mama there's something else wrong with him too..", he mumbled.

Katsuki's noticed something over the past months that's changed in him. He'd often forget things almost instantly after it happened.  Like when they're playing tag, he'd often forget that he was playing, or he'd forget that he was tired, he couldn't remember how he got outside. Or when he'd get outside. It was like his memory would reset. Itd often happen after he'd over exert his body, to when they were doing a work sheet in class, sometimes it happened when they'd play heroes at home. Izuku didn't realize the issue, but Katsuki sure did. And it worried him more than before.

"Like what?", Mitsuki asked.
"H-he forgets things all the time..", Katsuki mumbled.
"That's normal honey..",
"No! Like simple things! Like he'd forget what he's doing while he's doing it! I-", Katsuki yelled before being interrupted.
"Katsuki calm down. It's ok.. he'll be ok.. no need to worry..", she reassured.
Katsuki nodded and watched Izuku sleep as they arrived home.

Katsuki shook Izuku to wake him. He shook a little more aggressively the second time waking the smaller boy.
"Hmn...?", Izuku hummed opening his eyes.
"We're home... nice nap?", Katsuki asked looking at him.
Izuku smiled and nodded. "Yup!", he giggles. "No more sleepies!", he shouted happily.

Katsuki smiled and got out. "Let's go!", he ran inside and upstairs to his room.
Izukus eyes widened as he unbuckled himself. "W-wait! I'm coming!", he whined getting out quickly and ran after Katsuki. "K-Kacchan!", he panted heavily entering the blond boys room.
"Hm?", Katsuki looked back with a few action figures in his hands. "Wh-whyd you run away?", he panted gasping softly.

"I didn't! I was getting action figures for us to play with! Don't run after me! What is wrong with you?!"

Izuku flinched and teared up as his breathing calmed. "I-I sorry..", he mumbled as his tears rolled down his face.

Katsuki looked away and sighed setting his action figures down.
He then glanced at a confused Izuku.
"Hm?..", Katsuki hummed. "Deku..? You ok?", he mumbled walking over.

Izuku nodded and wiped his eyes then looked around. "Why?.. Crying...?", he mumbled sniffling. "A-and when did we get in your room?..", he looked at Katsuki.

"You forgot again..?", Katsuki stared at him as his brows furrowed.

"F-forgot? Y-yeah I think so..", Izuku looked down.

Katsuki walked over and hugged him gently. "I'm sorry Kacchan... I-I didn't mean too..", Izuku mumbled tearing up again.

"Don't cry! Don't cry again.. it's ok Deku.. it's ok..", Katsuki panicked and wiped his friends tears.
Izuku nodded and hugged his bestfriend. Afterwards they played heroes for the first time in awhile.
