I stroll amidst the night sky, stars twinkling into view above my head. I crane my neck to look at them, my eyes filling with wonder. The sound of my demonia boots crunching against the ground is the only sound that fills my ears.

The city is very quiet, apart from a few occasional cars that speed past, their flashlights blinding me. I can spot the stone castle's ruins from over here, its stone structure standing tall and mighty, ripping into the night sky. I'm not far from it now, a few more minutes and I'll be there.

I see the illuminated neon sign of the bar, and people are chattering away in there, clinking their bottles of alcohol. I carry on strolling over and a man staggers out of the bar, heaving then leaning on a big, puking onto the floor violently like it's nothing. He drops his bottle on the ground and it shatters all over the pavement. Yikes.

I grimace and continue to stroll towards the entrance of the castle, which is nearing every step I take.

I turn a quick left, running my finger along the large stone castle walls as I walk quickly. My black skirt sways gently behind me, my ripped tight-hugged legs freezing in the night air. My band shirt ripples with the breeze, so I rub my leather jacket sleeves against my arms in an attempt to get warm.

I turn into the castle, and I spot Gundham perched atop a stone brick. He waves one hand at me stiffly and I skip over to him, my skirt bouncing on my hips, my cheeks red from the cold.

"Hello mortal," he booms, giving the smallest smile.

"Hey there," I breathe. "So, shall we head in deeper?"

"Yes, let us venture forth into the palace's ruins," he orders, leading the way through, his jacket swishing in a grand manoeuvre.

When we arrive inside, he immediately takes a seat on one of the low stone walls. I take a seat next to him and he looks over at me, his expression stoic.

"So, how are you feeling on this fine night?" he inquires.

"Oh, I'm fine. Apart from this," I giggle, holding up my bandaged hand. "This is annoying."

"I see. Please, allow me to perform a healing spell on you. I have one memorised," he pleads subtly. "I used it on my sick grandma, and it worked."

"Awwwe, that's so sweet!" I gush. "But I'm afraid it'll go wrong and then unleash a curse or something."

"Hmmm, how about I propose a deal? If you allow me to perform this spell on you, you shall get to do one thing to me." he murmurs. Now this is a game changer. This could result in something interesting.

I pause for a moment, then nod. "Fine, but if I get cursed, I'm gonna end your life," I chuckle.

"Alright, let us proceed. Please sit yourself in the centre of the floor here," he instructs, pointing at a random spot in the floor then walking over to it.

I follow his instructions, heart racing. What if it DOES go wrong? I'm suddenly scared. I kneel on the floor and he walks away.

"Now, I shall go and gather the necessary materials. You must wait here."

I nod and quiver, not from the cold, from fear. I've never been a fan of profanities. I mean, it's going to be fine right? He once told me he's been practicing spells for more than ten years. It's going to be fine, Yaeko, just put your trust in him.

After about ten minutes, he comes back with a stick, a bag of salt, come candles and a lighter.

"Whoa! Where'd ya get this stuff from?" I inquire. He points over his shoulder with his thumb.
