Just a quick one! Busy again now, updates may take longer!

I felt cold. The air was cold, wrapping itself around me like a blanket of numbness. I sat up, squinting in the darkness. I seemed to be in a cave of sorts. The sound of running water echoed through the vast place.

My back was stinging and I couldn't remember anything. Anything from before the tunnel.

"Ah , Harleen, don't fret. You're nice and safe tucked up here in the Bat's lair. Lucky you, eh?"

"Get out of my head! I hate you! Just leave me alone!"

"Doctor Quinzel! It's alright, you're safe now," a deep voice soothed. The place lit up slowly with the light of fire. I could see that torches were placed around the cave, casting an orange glow on the tall figure next to me.

"Batman?"

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm...I think I'm okay. A little dizzy maybe, and cold."

"Here."

He wrapped a second blanket around me and sat beside me on the table. A metal table...

"What happened?" I asked.

"Arkham collapsed. Crane was obviously a man on the inside for the Joker and his gang, he helped them escape. None of the other patients got out, when Harvey Dent and his men moved in to meet the Riddler as planned, it triggered the release of Crane's fear toxin and-"

"Are they dead?"

"No, but they're all in a state of terror. Running around in there."

"Shouldn't you be there to help?"

"I was told to make sure you were alright," he mumbled, turning away.

"Told by who?"

He didn't answer. Instead he walked over to his computers. I suddenly noticed the cave was full with technology. Computers and consols and screens came to live as he powered them up.

"Wow," I sighed.

"It seems the situation at Arkham is under control now. The remaining officers waited for the gas to clear and went in to sort the chaos. Your friend is at the hospital along with Arkham."

"How do you know all this?"

"I have my sources."

I nodded to myself and shifted on the table. I felt a pull in my back and winced.

"I changed your dressing, are you still in pain?"

"Just a little...but...what happened to me?"

"You honestly don't know?"

"I can't remember I thing."

Batman sat back down beside me.

"Arkham stabbed you."

"What?! How did he...I mean, why did he-"

"We're still not sure. He's sedated in the hospital. Sinner is dead, and I think he's gone over the edge."

"Sinner? She's dead?"

"Someone shot her. Someone in that group."

I shook my head in disbelief.

"I can't believe this."

Batman leaned in to me.

"Harleen, you need to get to the hospital."

No! He can't, they'll take you away! Harley, you need to come back now. Come back!

"What for? I thought the wound-"

"It's clean and maintained but I don't know how much damage has been done. And how much more harm came to you...physically and mentally. You have amnesia at best."

"At best?"

"We'll leave soon. I'll take you. You're going to be fine," he reassured, standing up to leave.

Harley!

"Wait, you didn't tell me...why did you help me? Who asked you to?"

"I'll let him tell you himself."

Confused, my eyes followed him as he left and landed upon another figure. Not as tall as batman, he stood in the doorway, masked by a hood.

"Who are you?" I inquired, my voice small in the large space. The man walked towards me.

"I don't have coffee with me this time, sorry Harley," he chuckled. I knew that voice from somewhere. Like in a dream.

"Who are you?" I asked again.

"Batman might not be willing to give up his identity to you, but I will."

The man sat beside me and let his hood fall down. A pair of piercing blue eyes stared at me with a familiar look.

"Hello, Harley," he smiled, "I'm Robin. My secret's up, but I know you can keep it, right?"

I stared at him blankly. Think, Harleen, who is he?

A sudden dizziness came over me and I felt myself falling. Drifting away. Being pulled away. Black. Everything turned black...

"Harley?!"

I looked up, dazed. Where was I?

"Guy?"

"What just happened?" he asked. I reached into my pocket, feeling the Riddler's note still there and smiling to myself.

"Nothing, I'm back. I'm here. I'm Harley."
