DISCONTINUED - Destined For Love (A Jack Griffo Fanfic)

E i g h t e e n: You deserve somone so much better than him

Okay, so I think a recap is definitely needed:

Jack joined Brook's school at the start of the year, we're now in the middle of October-ish and has also just started filming his television show. When school started Brook had a crush on a guy called Lucas, she tried to make him jealous by kissing Jack whom she ended up gaining feelings for. Brook went to a party where her ex Daniel got drunk and tried to force her into doing stuff (to be clear, I am not talking about forcing her into having sex.) Jack and Lyndon(one of her best friends) basically beat the crap out of him so things are bad between him and them. Daniel's assigned to Brook as her partner for their baby project but Daniel has clear intentions of getting back together with Brook. Sam(her other best friend) and Matty (her twin brother) are together as well.

*Brook POV*

"You coming too Brook?" Jack asked me as he shut his locker door and began walking outside.

"I should think so, you're going to my house remember." I shook my head before noticing my locker which I remembered I needed to get folders from. "I just need to quickly stop by my locker."

"Cool with me " I saw something catch his attention from behind me, I looked around to find Leo standing roughly five metres away from me. "Actually, I need to speak to Leo real quick." Before I had a chance to respond he was gone.

I have never until now struggled with opening my locker, I have so many combinations for things that my mind went completely blank. "Try 0816" I did as he said and surprisingly my locker opened I raised my eyebrows at Lucas before speaking.

"How did you know that?" He leaned against the locker next to me whilst I rummaged through my stuff, I really should organise it more.

"It was when you and Daniel started dating, I know you tried to forget about him, maybe you should change this." I was quite shocked that Lucas had remembered that date when I hadn't. "Actually can I have a quick word with you?"

By now he had my full attention, I quickly put my work in my bag before closing my locker and leaning against it whilst Lucas stood straight indicating that this was more serious than I had originally thought.

"Did you and Daniel break up because of me because that's what I heard from Katherine." He scratched the back of his neck from nerves whilst my whole body relaxed. "Because if that's true I just want you to know that I only think of us as friends and I think that if we were to date it would cha-"

I cut his rambling off by taking hold of his arm "don't be silly, I broke up with Daniel because I didn't love him like I thought I did, amongst other things, seriously relax." I could feel him relax under my touch and I soon let my arm drop down by my side.

He continued to talk but I was too distracted by the idiot behind him making stupid hand gestures. Jack leant against the wall pointing to the invisible watch on his left wrist before making various impatient signals. "-made things awkward because that's the last thing I wanted I just wanted to clear things up and-"

"Seriously Lucas, no offence taken, I love you but as a friend anything more between us I think would be really awkward and nobody wants that."

"So we're good" he moved his bag strap on his left shoulder so that it wasn't falling off his back as much, why he didn't just use the two straps, I just wouldn't understand.

"Of course, don't be silly." I'll be honest, my feelings for Lucas were completely gone but it still hurt getting rejected like that, especially by one of your friends. I don't know what I was more bothered about, the fact Lucas had just rejected me or that Katherine - who I considered to be a close friend - had revealed the details of a private conversation that we had shared.
