**Jack's POV**

She's incredible. Funny, kind, intelligent and beautiful. Who? Brooklyn. Even her name's perfect but she's the only girl that's not wanted me. Just wait, in only a matter of time she will be mine.

*Beep beep*

My phone knocked me out of my thoughts to tell me I had a text, it was from Leo

L: Sup, you wanna come to a party later, all us guys are going?

J: Awesome, what time?

L: 7.30, you got any booze

J: Of course

L: Bring them too, see you later man

Okay so it's like 5 now, I've got ages before I need to get ready.

**Brooklyn's POV**

Me and Sam came back to my house after school and at the minute we were painting our nails for the fun of it.

"Sam! You got nail varnish on my leg." She laughed, finally noticing what she'd done."

"Yeah well you deserve it." She replied and poked her tongue out at me.

"Oh your gonna get it now." I came after her with a bottle of black nail varnish and was so close to putting it over her face when my phone started ringing; it was playing Panic!At The Disco rather loudly.

"Your lucky this time" I said a backed away from Sam running to my phone before they hung up.

"It's Lyndon" I said to nobody in particular before answering.

Me and Lyndon were as close as me and Sam were. Lyndon's dad and mine worked together so when they both got a promotion we both moved here together from New Zealand when we were 6 years old. He was the only person I knew and we've been best friends ever since, we tell each other everything, we're inseparable. He went back to visit family in NZ over the holidays so I never saw him, we have a lot to catch up on.

B: Hey Lynd, where were you at school today? I missed you.

Ly: We had school today? I thought it started tomorrow.

B: No Lynd, it was today. And there's a new guy, Jack-he's really cool, you two will get on great.

Ly: Okay whatever I actually called for a reason. I'm having a party tonight, it was a last day of summer party but now it can be a first day of school is over, yay, kinda party. You in?

B: Yeah and Sam is, what time?

Ly: I can pick you guys up at 7.30

B: Yay, thank you Lynd, love you!

Ly: Haha love you too, see you later.

It's 5 now, only two and a half hours to get ready. "Okay Sam get ready to get your party on." I started to do this really awful dancing which sent us into fits of giggles. Have you seen that episode of friends where Joey has that dance audition and he has to teach the class this routine, well it was that bad.

"Now it's time to be serious, you wanna borrow some of my stuff?" I asked her.

"You know my answers yes, your clothes are just too die for." She got up and walked into my wardrobe and I followed.

"Cute top and skinny jeans or a dress?" She asked me

"Ooh I forgot, I had this white dress about a year ago but it didn't look right on me because I have brown hair, yours is blonde so it should look great on you." I said whilst rummaging through my dresses.
