Slidren slid as fast as he could threw the small tunnels. He ignored everyone else, focused on reaching his destination. Before he could go any further, a grey beak wrapper around him and yanked him out of the moist dirt. It set him on the mud-filled puddle he had been taken from.

"Slidrien!" Pethalie cooed, "you know your father won't let you go to school!" Gorilla grunted in agreement beside her.

"But this is more than I have ever wanted!"

Pethalie picked up Sildrien with her beak, "choo fad," she mumbled, as Gorilla carried them back to the tree.

Slidrien wiggled his pink body up and down as Pethalie placed him in the white flower containing water. Slidrien's father flew above him.

"Slidrien, am I not providing you with enough education?" Mothriel, Slidrien's father, asked.

"No, you are father, it's just that I want to make worm friends! Pethalie and Gorilla can't play with me because they may accidentally squish me or eat me!"

Mothriel sighed, "I remember when Wormlie, dealt with the same problem. Your mother always slimed up the room when she walked in."

"I miss her too, father. Too bad she was eaten by a wooly spider."

"Yes, it is truly sad."

"Anyways father, can I please go to school?" Slidrien begged.

"I guess you can. But Pethalie and Gorilla will need to monitor to and from so you don't get eaten."

"I wouldn't have it any other way! It's not like I want to end up in a sparrow's stomach! Thank you so much, father!"

"You're welcome, son!"

Pethalie picked up Slidrien again and took her feet and placed it on Gorilla's back. He made his way over to the bush marking the school. Pethalie stuck her beak in the mud, placing him in the tunnel leading into the school.

Slidrien happily slid through the tunnels and squirmed into his seat.

"Hello, Worlé!" He said, excitedly.

"Slidrikins?"

Before they could continue their conversation, a worm broke through the roof. She looked at everyone. She hung her head down before opening her mouth.

"I'm getting detention, amn't I?"
