Marinette grazed through her phone. She was watching over her parents' shop for the day. She pulled up Adrien's Instagram page. She looked at Adrien's awkward face as he uncomfortably stood next to Lila. Marinette shook her head as she let out a chuckle.

"That hopeless girl just won't give up." Marinette said to her red, ladybug kwami.

Tikki let out a laugh, "She is determined though."

Marinette took a piece of a cookie and threw it at Tikki playfully, which Tikki caught in her mouth, "That she is. Poor Adrien, though." Marinette sighed, looking at Adrien's face.

Tikki moved up to Marinette, "You're meeting him this evening with Alya and Nino, right? During the class bake sale?"

Marinette blushed, "Alya's calling it a double date."

"And is it?"

Marinette chuckled nervously, "No, Tikki!" She said, waving her hand frantically, "We're just friends!"

Someone entered the bakery and Tikki zoomed behind the counter. Marinette straightened, still red. She slapped her phone on the counter, potentially breaking it. She smiled widely at the person who entered.

"You okay, Marinette?" Nino asked.

"Yeah, yeah fine!" Marinette laughed, her voice shaky.

"Oh-kay," Nino said, still worried, "I'm here to pick up the macarons for Alya."

"Oh, right! Of course!" Marinette exclaimed, bending down behind the counter to pick up the long, light pink box. "Here you go. orange and vanilla macarons."

"Thanks, Marinette," Nino said, giving her some money, "See you soon!" Nino saluted at her and started walking away. He opened the door, but instead of walking out, he stopped, looking back at Marinette.

Nino sighed, "Be patient with Adrien, Marinette. It's not his fault."

Marinette looked down at her phone, which was face down on the counter.

"I know, Nino. I know."

Nino offered Marinette a sad smile and walked out of the door.

Marinette picked up her phone and continued to scroll through Adrien's Instagram page.

That evening, Marinette packed up the cookies and croissants she had made for the bake sale. She picked up the boxes, being extremely cautious to not drop them. Tikki was encouraging her, urging her not to drop anything. Marinette tilted to the left to avoid the door. As expected, the boxes also started to fall towards the left side. Marinette squealed as she tried to stabilize herself. Tikki grabbed onto the side of the boxes and pushed, but only by the slightest bit, so that they were perfectly straight.

Marinette chuckled nervously and exited the bakery. The journey to the park was uneventful, thankfully. Marinette entered the park through the gates to see the tables and posts set up. The tables had tie-dyed tablecloth on them. The art class had tie-dyed each one a mixture of red, black, and green as a tribute to Ladybug and Cat Noir from saving them from Reverser the second time Marc was akumatized. Marinette walked up to Alya's table and placed her boxes next to Alya's. She opened up the boxes, presenting her treats to everyone at the bake sale.

"Hey, Marinette!"

Marinette froze. She slowly looked up. In front of her was the boy of her dreams. The son of the biggest fashion designer, famous teen model, and one of the best fencers, Adrien Agreste.

"A-Adrien! Hi! I-um-what would you like."

Adrien smiled, "I know for a fact that those croissants taste amazing. So, I'll take five of those and three vanilla macarons, please."
