Sofia Milan Chavicci
I can practically see the worried panic fill Alessandro's eyes. Annoyance fills me, and I'm not entirely sure why. I guess this must be the start of pregnancy hormones or something. I chew on my bottom lip as I watch the cars and scenery of Italy pass me by. Neither of us says anything as we drive back, but he cradles my hand in his.
When we reach the warehouse, I thought that's where we would be staying, but he drives right past it. I don't think I would be able to sleep if that's where we were staying anyway. I turn on the radio, not being able to take the uncomfortable, seething silence. I shift, but that only makes things more awkward than they already are.
Instead of just having my hand placed in his, I lace my fingers through his, and I see his shoulder slump in relief. Tension leaves his entire body, and I try not to feel too guilty of being the one to cause his frustration.
"I love you, amore."
"I love you."
A small, concealed smile graces my face at his words, and the reassurance eases the anger between the two of us. Instead of showing him that I'm feeling better, wanting some chocolate or something, and the growing desire to be rawly petty, I let him continue to think that I'm still annoyed with him.
We pull into his parents' driveway, and I'm surprised that this is where he decided to drive us. I wonder if Brando and he ever talked about what happened at dinner about a month ago. He unlocks the car door, and I reach the handle of the car. He bolts out of his side, catching the door before I can swing it open.
I shake my head as he opens it up for me again and holds my hand to help me out. If this is how my whole pregnancy is going to go, I don't think I'm fully really. He's already overprotective about everything. To distract him from everything I'm doing with myself, which is going up steps to his bedroom, I ask him to explain how he got to me.
3rd Person Omniscient
*Flashback Start*Alessandro's heart races as they fly quickly back to Palermo. His thoughts fill with worry about what could be happening back at the warehouse, and he has absolutely no idea. That amount of times he's called his wife, called Ettore and Basilio is almost an unacceptable rate. The members of his team, since he can't concentrate on anything besides the panic going through his brain, come up with a game plan for the multiple scenarios.
If Luca has them all tied up, there's one plan. If they are already dead, there's another. The list continues, but it's not like any of them need these intricate details. They try to get their mind of the only thing their Boss seems to be able to think about. His wife and killing the traitorous bastard who has hurt her and maybe trying to right now.
Now having a moment to think about it, he can't believe how much of an idiot he was. This whole thing was stupid. Yeah, sure he got a treaty out of it. However, his wife might be dead because he decided to leave her with the man who wants to kill him.
Once the plane finally lands, the crew of Agustin, Fiaro, Valentina, Celia, Emelia, and Alessandro instantly get off. They run to their cars, making sure their guns are tucked in all the right places. The ride to headquarters is longer than they expected it to be, but the time doesn't change. No, they just want to get there as fast as physically possible without any delays.
Quickly but quietly, they pull the car behind the warehouse and into a hidden spot where Luca couldn't see it. There's nothing better than an unexpected ambush. When you're on the right side of course. They try to glance through the windows, but with the power off nobody can see anything.
