I wasn't sure where I was, how I got here, or where I was going. I wasn't even sure who I was. I knew precisely three things.

One: I was in some kind of crate that was steadily moving upwards. The bottom of it was made of metal, but I could see through the small holes in it. I was very high up and going higher still.

Two: I was surrounded by many things. In the crate with me were boxes and bags of other items I was too busy to bother looking at right now. Outside of the crate, I could hear the sounds of high screeching from some kind of animal. It came in waves like I was passing them on the way up, but the sound was everywhere.

And three: I was absolutely terrified.

The top of the crate looked like the bottom, so I screamed, hoping someone would hear my pleas for help and stop this thing so I could get off. I beat my fists at the metal, but then the lights started flashing red as a loud alarm sounded.

Fearing that I'd caused something bad to happen, I fell back against the side. With the red wash of light, I could now see some letters on the side of a barrel. The letters said 'WCKD'. I didn't know what it meant, and I didn't care. The crate suddenly stopped moving and above me was a door. I feared what was outside of it, so made myself into the smallest ball I could, hoping to become invisible amongst the other supplies.

The light flashed green as the alarm stopped then all the lights went out completely. The door slid open, sending the sun shining into my dark box. I squinted and blinked at the unwelcome light, but then numerous bodies walked to the edge, staring down at me.

From what little I could actually see, most of them looked shocked. I panted fearfully as I came to realize that every person surrounding the ground was a man. My mind automatically jumped for the worst. I'd been kidnapped and was now in some kind of human trafficking ring. These men were here to use me, weren't they? I felt like a caged animal at the zoo, helpless as people stared at me.

They opened the top of the crate and one man stepped to the forefront. There were hushed whispers, all asking if I was a girl. They were all confused and it proved my trafficking theory wrong since they barely seemed to know what a girl looked like. It didn't make me any less scared though.

The guy in the front was very tall, light skinned, and had oddly expressive eyebrows. His mouth was set in a firm frown, and his light brown hair was short. Staring down at me, he jumped into the crate with me.

"Day one, Greenie," Eyebrows said. I didn't know what he planned to down with me as he reached out for me, so I just started screaming and swinging my arms. It didn't seem to deter him as he tried to lift me up out of the crate, trapping my arms with his.

"Stop! Get away from me! Don't touch me," I yelled at the top of my lungs. Not that he listened. There were so many eyes on me, so many questions being spouted to one another. My cheeks were wet with tears as I thrashed in his arms. I threw my head back, catching him in the nose.

Eyebrows grunted and dropped me, so I crawled back to my corner, my body shaking with fear. I wasn't any closer to figuring out the answers to any of my questions, and I still couldn't remember for the life of me who I was. Blood dripped down Eyebrows' nose, and he wiped it away with a scowl.

"Fine. Stay in here, then," he said angrily, hoisting himself out of the crate. I felt a tad bit safer, but I was still getting stared at, so I pulled my knees to my chest and hid my face in my arms.

A soothing male voice said, "Wait. Don't close it yet." I flinched when the crate jolted like someone had dropped down into it with me. I didn't feel at all threatened, but that was probably because I couldn't see who was in here with me. If that was the case, I kept my face hidden and my body tightly curled.
