A couple weeks later, we were on our way to London. We left the hot sun of Oklahoma, and traveled to the cool weather of London. Ever since we've got to the Leaky Cauldron, my mother was on edge. She saw a poster, but never allowed me to see. We also met Harry last night. I can't believe he blew up his aunt and still going to school!
I stretched my arms over my head when I woke up. I sat up in bed and looked around the room. My mom was nowhere to be seen. She must already be downstairs for breakfast. I quickly got changed and went downstairs, except, she wasn't there either.
"Good morning, Miss Williams." Tom greeted.
"Morning, Tom. Have you seen my mom this morning perhaps?"
"Yes, I have. She said that she had to go to the Ministry of Magic this morning. She'll be back, but she doesn't want you to leave."
I can't leave the Leaky Cauldron? What's going on? I furrowed my eyebrow. "So, I can't even go get my school supplies from Diagon Alley?"
"Oh, of course you can, Miss Williams. Its just out in the Muggle world you're not allowed to wonder. It's for your own safety."
"Oh, okay. Thank you, Tom."
"It's not a problem, miss."
I quickly ate some breakfast before grabbing my supply list and going to Diagon Alley. My eyes scanned the list of books I need for this year. I'm learning to become a Healer, and I'm going to need books for almost every class. I hope that we don't get another Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher who was obsessed with himself, and judging by the book for that class, we don't!
I heard two familiar voices coming up ahead. I lifted my head and saw the Weasley family, minus Ron and Mr. Weasley, coming out of Flourish and Blotts. Fred was the first one to see me. His eyes lit up, and he ran at me.
"Fae!"
George followed his brothers lead. When Fred approached me, he wrapped his arms around my middle and lifted me from the ground. Once my feet made contact with the ground, George scooped me up next.
"Well, well, well." I held the boys at arms length. "If it isn't my two best friends, Gred and Feorge. You two need a haircut. You both are starting to look homeless." I ruffled their shaggy hair.
George swat my hand away. "Please. We are still devilishly handsome."
I felt a poke at my belly button, making me giggle.
"What's this?" Fred asked.
"What does it look like?" I playfully punched him in the arm. "Tell me everything that happened in Egypt!"
"Oh, it was amazing!" Fred started.
"Bill showed us all these old tombs, and the curses are unbelievable." George continued.
"The last tomb was the best. There was mutant skeletons littering the floor, of Muggles who had broken in and grown extra heads."
"We even tried to lock Percy in one."
"Yeah, but mum caught us."
I laughed. "Come on, let's get our supplies." The three of us started to walk back to their family.
We laughed as we walked into the Leaky Cauldron. I almost forgot how much I missed these two. At the bar was Mr. Weasley, Harry, Hermione, and Ron.
"Harry!" Fred elbowed Percy, who was greeting Harry, out of the way. He bowed deeply. "Simply splendid to see you, old boy—"
"Marvelous." George pushed his twin aside and grasped Harry's hand. "Absolutely spiffing."
