Meredith woke up in her lonely house. She didn't have to be in the hospital till noon for her 48 hour shift. It was six am, she meant to turn off her alarm but she forgot.

Instead of wasting the next six hours she decided to clean up her house. She decided she wasn't going to sell her mother's house but there were boxes and dust everywhere. She started in the Kitchen and made her way across the first floor. She finished the entire floor and it was already 8:30. She sighed deeply and wiped the sweat off her overworked body. She had taken many heavy boxes up to the attic.

Meredith walked to the kitchen and made herself another coffee. She sipped it gracefully as the warm liquid flowed through her body. Meredith thought about cleaned the second floor and got started but got immediately tired. She hadn't gotten much sleep and woke up way to early, so she decided to take a nap.

Meredith woke up groggily feeling more refreshed. She swiftly removed herself from the covers and glanced at her clock. 11:30?

"Oh Shit!" Meredith exclaimed as she tore through the house. She got her clothes on and teeth brushed in a matter of seconds. She went so fast she was surprised when her clothes didn't get ripped to shreds.

She hustled down the stairs and grabbed a leftover slice of cold pizza before rushing into the car. She didn't have time to apply makeup, not that she needed it. Meredith sighed with relief as she was able to get into the car in record time. It was only 11:45. She had plenty of time to make it to the hospital.

As Meredith pulled into the parking lot she saw Cristina.

"Cristina!" Meredith shouted while slamming the door of her car.
"Didn't know you rode." Meredith chuckled while motioning towards her motorcycle. Cristina laughed loudly in return.

"You know, a badass chick on a bike? Dudes dig that." She said with a shrug. They both chuckled and ran towards the hospital entrance.

"Grey, Yang! You're late. Both of you go so damn sutures in the pit!" Bailey shouted at her young interns. They both scurried in that direction to escape the wrath of their superior if they didn't move.

"Ughhh. I guess this is what we get for being late." Cristina sighed.

"Yeah. Maybe if any traumas come in we can help out? Just you know insert ourselves in a way they can't kick us out." Meredith agrees.

"Just don't stick you hand in a body cavity again. Please." Cristina laughed

(Just pretend the bomb already happened even though it's only their third shift 😅)

Meredith and Cristina stood at separate beds and did their suture. Both were flawless. They were the best of their class. Meredith was a Natural and Cristina was so determined and spent hours of practicing.

"Nice sutures Grey. Those are flawless." Arizona said while snapping on her gloves. Mer was working on a 16 year old boy, which qualified as pediatric.

"Thank you." Meredith replied with a smile while continuing to stitch up the boys laceration.

"So little guy, or should I say man." Arizona said with a chuckle.
"How did you get such a nasty cut?" Arizona questioned while examining the incision on his forearm.

"Skateboarding accident. Tried to do a 540 pop-shuvit." The boy replied with dignity.

"I have no idea what that is but it sounds very cool." Meredith replied with a smile while finishing her last switch. Arizona was surprised at the young interns ability to communicate with small kids. She was a Natural for Peds.
