TW AS ALWAYS!!!
Just a short intro! Enjoy the chapter, sorry for the long wait. Much love and happy readings!

Meredith woke up and the world was fuzzy, the last thing she remembers was passing out in Derek's clutch. Her head was pounding and the light in the room was fading in and out. She could feel the bulky cast surrounding her frail arm and the many bandages covering her leg.

"Mer?" Jo questioned happily as she saw her eyes flutter open, Meredith winced slightly at the loudness of her voice and eventually was able to adjust her vision to the hospital room. She saw that Arizona, Addison, Jo, Stacy and Sarah were all in her room, others were waiting outside, along with a group of police officers, who were talking to the many FBI agents who had helped. Just as Jo said her name, Meredith was finally able to notice the tube that was placed in her throat. A trach. She tried to open her mouth to speak but she couldn't.

"It's okay, it's okay. You had some damage to your trachea, try not to speak." Addison whispered sadly. I nodded and looked around at all the people in the room. They were just staring at me like I was an animal locked up in a zoo. I frowned and looked at Arizona.

"What wrong? Are you in pain?" She questioned sadly. When she had asked Meredith realized how badly her body was throbbing and how her insides felt as if they were twisting. She nodded slowly and Arizona immediately went out to get Callie. Meredith eyed the chart and pointed to it.

"You want your chart?" Stacy questioned timidly. Meredith nodded once again. She needed to know what that bastard had done too her. She knew he would be locked away for ever, but somehow a tinge of fear still stricken at the thought of him finding her, but through it all she didn't show anything to the ones around her. Stacy finally handed her the chart and she was able to flip through it with her only slightly mangled left hand.

She scanned through everything, not letting an weakness of emotion show on her face.
Torn ACL
Epidural hematoma bleed
Open break on both ankle and left arm
And dislocated left shoulder
Gunshot to right arm, that explained the numbness in that hand, from nerve damage.
Severed trachea
Vaginal bleed from a tear
Plus severely damaged pelvis
Broken rib caused pneumothorax
Countless lacerations across the body and multiple in the face, leaving probably nasty scars
And her liver was gone, she was on the list for a transplant. She only had 2 days before she would die.
Meredith felt as tears began to slightly well in her eyes and quickly sucked them back up. She slowly set the chart down and leant into the bed, feeling exhaustion and pain wash over her senses. She wasn't even aware that Callie and Arizona had returned and entered her relieving medications. She needed something stronger. Like the medication in her bathroom. But she couldn't tell them that. All she could do was sleep and wait for the world to disappear.

"Is she going to be alright?" Jo questioned being irrational , her doctor mind wasn't intact.  Bailey was now in there and saw the many other doctors in the room.

"We don't know Wilson.. we don't know. She's at the top of the list for a transplant, we never know what will happen," Bailey said while opening her chart.
"You gave her pain meds?" Bailey questioned while reading the recent contents of the chart. Arizona just nodded. Bailey gave a quizzical look when she saw the small scrunch on Meredith face, full of pain.
"Just make sure it's enough once she wakes up.." Bailey said before turning to leave.

Everybody else stood in silence for a moment. Sarah nudged Stacy and they both walked closer to the exit of the room.

"We better get back to Seattle Pres.. I'm glad we could help but we do have jobs we need to keep, more lives to save... call me if you need anything." Sarah said while placing a small slip of paper onto the desks at the foot of Meredith bed with both their personal numbers on them.
