Valentina's POV:

Now my Dad, Ben and brothers have gone with Derek to interrogate the guy we caught and discuss some other things.

Me and my squad are at my house sitting in the living room. Sav and Claire are spending some time with each other in Ben's room.

"So when did you guys actually join the gang?", I ask Iris, Liam, Ethan and Kai

"Well Kai's always been part of the gang I guess seeing his father owns it, but we three have been a part of the cobras since almost a year now", Liam said smiling.

"Wow", Stacy said surprised

"So you knew each other since before Kai shifted to New York?", Micheal asked curiously

"Actually no. We met the first time when Kai joined our school", Iris said

"Yeah", Kai nods affirmatively

"What? How is that possible? Kai shifted a few months back and you guys have been in the gang for a year", Ryan asked in disbelief

"We didn't know our Boss when we joined..I mean like we hadn't met him personally. His acting leader here in New York had recruited us", Ethan explained

"I'm still so confused", I said frowning

We all look at Kai and expect him to explain.

"Actually Me, my Dad and mom lived in New York 6 years ago. That time Dad was here and the leader of the gang, but then when mom was pregnant with Hayley, Dad didn't want her to be born here for safety purposes for both mom and my unborn sister, plus I was only nine years old as well. So Dad got us all to Colorado and handled business from there and visited New York whenever necessary and his trusted second in command was the acting leader temporarily. Then Hayley was born and Dad waited for 5 more years and then we came back here", Kai smiled explaining.

"So that's why we never really met Kai before even though we were working for him earlier. We only met Boss and Kai after they returned back to New York", Liam said

"Oh", Me, Micheal, Ryan and Stacy said and nod in understanding.

"What a shock that must have been", Micheal chuckled.

"Yeah trust me it was a huge shock when we went to meet Derek for the first time and saw Kai there. It was so unexpected because exactly the previous day we met him in school for the first time", Ethan chuckled

"Oh yeah I remember our gawking faces", Kai laughs

"Oh I can imagine that. These were the same circumstances I met Micheal. I met him first time in school and then at a mafia party I come to know that he's from the Spanish mafia and our families knew each other since forever", I chuckled shaking my head.

"Same here. Even I didn't know you're the mafia princess of the American mafia", Micheal laughs.

"It was a shocker for us as well when we found out about each other as well", Ryan snickers

I nod laughing. Everyone else laughs shaking their heads as if they couldn't believe these coincidences actually happened.

"Did you always know that your family owns a mafia because I remember you lived with your mother", Iris asked curiously to me

"Yeah actually the mafia was the reason mom left with me. She wanted to keep me safe and then I came here and came to know about the mafia when Dimitri's father Vladimir attacked", I said nodding

"What?! Dimitri's father attacked you!", Kai asked shocked

"Yeah, Vladimir wanted to hurt my family earlier and kidnapped me and Max my brother to get our mafias. The Russian mafia has always been an enemy of my family", I explained them.
