Chapter 34 : A Responsible that Leads to Heartbreak

Rhys' POV

"So...you're suppose to be dead?"

"Yeah , you can say that."

"What power was that strong enough to attract Lady Bish?"She make a bitter smile and pulled off her gloves. We're all shocked when we saw the
same purple veins that were grew on Jupiter's arms. But this time...it literally covered her entire arm. We can't see a single dot of her skin colour.

"The price of using the flute. The flute was the powerful one here. The inherent must use it wisely. Or else.... this will happen. The flute had the ability to destroy every human being on lands. It even had....the ability to solve the magic crisis....But , Lady Bish destroyed one of the buttons of the flute , making its magic mixed with darkness and light."

As she said so , I just noticed. There's a hole among the buttons , making the flute imperfect."Wait , Master-I mean , Lady Melody. I'm the next inherent? That was chosen by you?""Indeed , you're in the 'family'. But I haven't ask Sir Joe about this."

"You're killing Lady Bish?""If she's after the powers , that means she will do anything to get them. Jupiter must finish her off to bring peace to her generation."said Lady Melody with her arms crossed.

And a Daemos who reached out a helping hand , using a strong magic orb-"Wait- That's the legend! They did mentioned the Daemos was disappeared cause of her sacrificed on the accident.....

"Jupiter must attacked Lady Bish , getting her chance to grab the missing piece , puzzled it back its place and use it to kill Lady Bish. Of course , we need to take cover."Lady Meoldy was right now talking about the strategy.

"And we're going , tomorrow night." "What?!""Is that too early?""No , to Jupiter. She must go solo on this." Jupiter looked at her fingers while playing by making circles.

"I'm always ready, master." "Remember , get the button , kill Lady Bish and problem solved.""Hold on , I need to have a talk with her."said Pierce while grabbing Jupiter's arm and dragged a corner of the balcony.

Jupiter's POV

"Pierce? Are you...""Jupiter , you can't do it solo. You don't know how powerful is she. You'll get-" I held out my hand , stopping him from talking.

"Do you trust me , Pierce?""Of course I do but-""Then let me do this....please." He looked around , calming down his nerves."Do you even know how powerful is the flute? You might die from using it! Lady Melody's plan will bring you to death! She don't even need to talk about generations if this will bring you to death!"

"You don't know anything , Pierce! I got my own rights, not like some babies that needed damn tutorials of how to listen! I have my own thoughts!"

I looked at Pierce who's being furious for my stubbornness."...I just want you to be safe....""You know what , suit yourself."He walked away from my remained thoughts. The is the first time....I make him so angry....

"Pierce-""Jupiter! Get over here now! I need to talk with you!"I looked at Pierce walking away , sighed sadly and ran towards Lady Melody. "Alright , so....what's the plan?"

After the whole discussion , I passed by Pierce's room. Hesitating to apologise to him , my hand froze in position. I looked at his chamber's door. And walked away.....

Ava's POV

"Pierce? Open up. I need to talk with you."I found the door wasn't fully closed. I pushed the door open and found Pierce sitting on the bed , seems stress.

The walls of his chamber was covered with scars. Probably from the work of his sword."Pierce-"He suddenly pointed his sword towards me."Oh... Princess Ava."

"What's wrong , Pierce? You don't feel right...after having the fight with Sis." "Please don't mention again. She rather follows that Lady Melody's orders than listening to me."Never see Pierce so down....

"She's just bringing peace to Daemos and a future to music magic before Lady Bish takes over Daemos."''I get this. But she's going to die after this. After all of those circles , she still leaving me."I looked at him , who's laying onto his bed."Pierce-""Just get out , Ava. I need to chill for a while."

After got kinda stormed out from Pierce's bedroom , I decide to check out the next victim."Sis? You good?" Once again , just like Pierce's , her room's door opened , unlocked. What just got into their nerves?!

I opened her door and found scars on the wall , Sis's having the same position like Pierce."Okay , Sis. Whatever you do , don't-"Right before I finished my sentence , she pointed her flute right into my face."-point your flute towards me like how Pierce to me."I said the sentence in a breathe.

She immediately put down her hand and put her forehead against the wall. "What are you doing here, Ava? Hope you're not here with Pierce's order to tell me for not going tomorrow." "W-What? No! I'm here with my orders...*sigh* Sis , do you really need to go?"She looked at me."Ava ,you probably heard whatever Lady Melody said. Lady Bish's here to destroy and cause the extinction of music magic. But , I'm not letting that happen."

"Pierce needs a proper explanation from you , Sis. You just need to-""It's late , Ava. Head to sleep. Now."She pushed me out of her room and locked them tight.

Ugh....all of this....Just for a responsible for being a inherent and a responsible for being a boyfriend.

Is this the cost of love that causes people hard to choose their path?
