Inspection Day

Two weeks have passed and I still don't feel great. No matter where I am or what I'm doing, I feel constant pressure like something is pushing down on me. I haven't felt like myself, I've never really gone through a break up before, or whatever this is, so it's affecting me more than I expected. I hate that I cared so much about him. I don't think Taehyung even cares, I can hear him laughing with Namjoon and Yoongi in their room, I can hear him having... relations... with random people at night, and I see him picking on people in the cafeteria, same old Taehyung. That part really pisses me off and makes it worse for me, how can he not care?! I guess it's easy to not care if you never cared.

It's been nice living with Hoseok, Jimin and Jin. It's a friendlier environment than the other dorm room so I obviously like it better and, surprise surprise, they're much more tolerable. However, ever since the split with Taehyung, they've been babying me a lot more. I've been very irritable recently so at times, it annoys me, but overall I kind of enjoy it. Jin and Jimin haven't spoken to Yoongi or Namjoon much since the incident and I feel bad for putting a strain on their relationships but I've never realized how stubborn Jin and Jimin actually were until now when they refuse to talk to their boyfriends, we're more alike than I thought.

One day, we were walking down to the cafeteria for lunch, and like normal, we stopped by the communal bulletin board to see if anyone put up new flyers for events and activities going on. All except one were old. The newest one was a big, highlighter green colour that was put up in the middle of the board so you're eyes were immediately drawn to it. Jimin read it first and his eyes widened,

"sh*t," he said before running off down the hallway back to the direction of our room. I looked at him confused and then read the flyer, it wrote:

DORM INSPECTION DAY!

Inspectors will be walking around to every room in this facility today and tomorrow.

"What's the big deal about that?" I asked, looking at Jin,

"The inspectors are very strict, if they find even the tiniest thing wrong with your dorm, they could file it and get you into big trouble," Jin explained, "Jimin's first year here, he got in trouble, that's why he takes this very seriously,"

I nodded and ruffled my hair, "So what, we just have to clean the room?"

"Very thoroughly," Hoseok added, "Everything has to be spotless, all appliances have to be in perfect condition and the room has to look like the demo picture they give us"

"Demo?" I asked,

"On the back of one of the cabinet doors has a picture of how the room was originally set up, before this facility opened, and the room has to look exactly like that picture," Jin clarified,

"Well then, lets get cleaning" I said turning to walk back to the room. I noticed that they weren't following, so I turned around and saw that they were looking at each other with worried faces, "What?" I asked,

"Welll." Jin started,

"Technically, you aren't a resident of our dorm room... You're still registered as being in Taehyungs room which means..." Hoseok trailed off,

"I have to go back over there?!" I questioned, throwing my arms up,

"Only for inspection day, then you can move back in with us" Jin said in a cheery voice, trying to make me feel better,

I huffed and stomped back to our room. I packed all my stuff and walked over to Taehyungs room. They gave me dirty looks but not shocked ones, I guess they already knew that I'd have to come back for inspection. I glared over at Taehyung and we locked eyes for a second before I threw my stuff onto my old bed.
