Making Cakes...

Hello :)

I hope everyone is doing great today :)

I've had a new chapter idea stuck in my head for a while but haven't had the time to type it up so here I am :p

I hope you guys enjoy the chapter, a bit of drama happening...

Chapter 10

I nervously sit down as the two people in front of my watch my every move.

I hesitantly smile at them as they stare back, I look down into my lap as Jaymie sits beside me.

"Mom, dad, this is Tayla. Tayla, these are my parents, Angel and Christian." Jaymie introduces.

"Hello." I smile shyly.

Jaymie's dad, Christian, holds his hand out and I shake his hand, then her mother, Angel, smiles at me before looking down.

I get comfortable in my chair as we begin to eat.

"This is delicious." I comment.

Angel smiles at me lightly before continueing with her meal.

After we're all pretty much finished with our food Jaymie excuses herself to the bathroom, leaving me practically alone wither her parents, I smile nervously towards them but smile big at Luke.

By the time Jaymie comes back her parents are starting to get to know me better.

"Have you got any siblings?" Angel asks.

"Yes, I have my twin brother, Erick." I reply.

"Oh, so that's who Erick is..." Angel smiles, looking at Luke who blushes.

"Have you got a photo of him, we haven't seen him before." Christian asks.

"Yeah, let me just look."

I take my phone out of my pocket and unclock it, I click on the screen a couple of times untl I'm in my photo area. Clicking on a folder of pictures of just me and Erick, I hand the phone over to Jaymie's parents to look at.

"That' a folder based on me and Erick." I explain.

They nod their heads while switching through pictures. They hand me back my phone and I see that the last picture they were looking at was when we were about 10 years old.

"I remember when Jaymie and Luke were around 11 years old, they were so mature for their age." Christian says.

In the corner of my eye I see Jaymie tense a little. I reach under the table and hold her hand to calm her down. Angel and Christian carry on talking about how they were growing up as children, I listen but still watching over Jaymie.

At one point, when Angel mentions the things they used to do when they were growing up Jaymie snapped, one moment she was sitting down; gripping my hand, and the next second she was standing up.

"How could you say all these things? I will not sit here and allow you to lie to Tayla about what we were like in the beginning of our teenage years if you don't even know! You wasn't there, you was in rehab, not looking after your newborn and two chidlren like you should have been." Jaymie shouts with tears rolling down her eyes before she run out of the house.

I look at her parents who seem to be in shock before I run after her. I run out the front door and quickly pick up on her scent. I follow her down the road and catch up with her, when I turn her around she pulls me into a hug and sobs into my chest.

Unsure with what to do, I pat her head while hugging her back. I repeat "It's okay." until she stops crying but still holds onto me.

"Do you want me to do anything?" I ask, unsure.

She shakes her head against me. I suprise her by picking her up, bridal style, and start walking to the nearest park. Once we arrive I sit on a swing with her still on my lap.

"Are you okay now?" I ask.

She nods and looks up at me. I wipe away a few stray tears.

"There you go, beautiful again." I smile.

She smiles at me and places her ad back against me.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I ask.

She shakes her head no and stays still.

She shivers in my arms and I tighten my hold around her, I concenrate on my temperature and slowly feel it to go up. I smile as she wraps her hands around my neck.

"Thank you." She mumbles.

"For what?" I ask.

"For being here." She replies.

"I'll always be here."

Jaymie moves her head up and looks into my eyes, she leans in and places a soft kiss on my lips before settling back down.

"Jaymie?" I ask, playing with her hair.

"Mhmmm."

"What does this make us?" I nervously ask.

She moves back and looks at me.

"What do you want it to mean for us?" She asks.

"I don't want this to be a friend thing." I explain.

"You want to be more than a friend?" She asks.

I shyly nod my head as she stares up at me.

"Tayla..." Jaymie asks.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" She asks.

I look down at her and nod my head up and down, smiling.

She lets out a breath that she was apparently holding.

We both smile at eachother.

"Sorry to ruin this love sick moment but you're gonna have to come to the hospital." Luke says, bent over breathless.

"Why?" Jaymie asks.

"Because Kari found some drugs in the house, she asked mom if she could play with the flower and mom said yes, make a cake for her. Kari ended up making a pretend cake and eating some. Jaymie, Kari ate cocaine..." Luke explains in a rush.

Jaymie jumps up as she follows Luke out of the park and down the street to his car, I follow to and get in the backseat with Jaymie as she begins to sob again.

Meow, Meow Meowwww! (Sing that but in the dun dun dunnnnn tone of voice.)

So, that was a lot of drama.

I actualy wasn't planning on that being the endin, I just randomly started typing and this came out so hopefuly it makes sense :)

I hope Kari is going to be okay! I wander what will happen.. (Evil grin)
