TW's: panic

-Karl POV-

I woke up expecting to be met with Nick's sweet face, but instead, saw an empty side of the bed.

I sat up, thinking he would just be downstairs but when I went down there I couldn't find him anywhere, my sleepiness was gone in a second and I went to find my phone. When I found it I dialed Nick's number, he didn't answer and I started panicking, what if something bad had happened. 

Just as I was about to start think of worse things the front door opened, I got up from the ground to see who it was, when I saw it was just Nick I practically flew over to him, hugging him tightly. 

"hey, what's wrong?" He said to me, setting down a bag of something. "Why are you crying?" He said, wiping tears off of my face. I hadn't even noticed I was crying until he pointed it out. 

"I thought I lost you." I choked out in between sobs. He held me tighter, putting my head into his shoulder. 

"I'm okay, it's okay." He said in a soothing tone, rubbing my back.

When I had calmed down a little bit he moved us over to the couch, laying sideways so I was curled up on his side. "I didn't mean to scare you." He said to me, rubbing his fingers up and down my arm. 

"I'm sorry." I whispered to him, facing away from him. I got scared he was dead because he did something without me for ten minutes, how pathetic. 

"You don't need to be." He said back to me. "What scared you so much you thought I wasn't okay?" He said gently. 

I knew exactly what, "My dad got in a.. a bad car accident like a year or two ago, he survived, thankfully, but I'm scared of losing everyone I love now." Nick was the first person I had told that to since it happened. 

"I'm so sorry." Nick said to me, sounding genuinely sorry for me.  

"You didn't know." I whispered to him, brushing some hair out of his eyes with the back of my hand.

He grabbed my phone and unlocked it, I had told him my password before since I literally trusted this man with my life, he went into contacts and made himself an emergency contact. 

He then grabbed his phone and did something that I couldn't see, I got a text a few minutes later that had his location on it, I looked up at him and he smiled. "Now you always know where I am." I smiled back at him and I kissed his nose. 

"I love you." I said to him, kissing the corner of his mouth. 

"I love you too, so much." He said back. 

We sat together for about 30 minutes before he spoke up again. "What do you want to do today, bubba?" 

"we could go ge pizza?" I suggested. 

"we can get that for lunch." He said with a smile. 

"What did you get earlier?" I asked him, avoiding the fact that I almost had a panic attack. 

"That's a surprise for tonight." 

"M'kayy." I said back, putting my forehead on his collarbone. 

When it was lunch time I got off of him, walking upstairs to find clothes to put on. Nick had moved all our stuff into drawers so I looked through them, today I wore high waisted baggy mom jeans and a green crop top, you could barely see my midriff because the pants were high up but there was some tan skin from my torso that you could see. My nail polish had chipped off all the way so now it was just the pinkish color of my nails. I got two of Nick's rings and put one on my pointer finger and one on my thumb, deciding that was enough I grabbed a pair of pink cat eye sunglasses and walked downstairs again. 

When I was in the living room I saw that Nick was in the kitchen, grabbing something off a shelf. I sat down on the couch and went on my phone.

I felt Nick kiss me on the top of the head and I leaned my head back, coming face to face with his eyes. I stretched up and kissed him on the nose. "Hi." I said to him, putting my hands on his cheeks. 

"Hi." He said back, looking at my outfit. "You're cute, wanna date?" 

I laughed and shook my head no, causing him to stick his lower lip out in a pout. He picked me up from behind the couch bridal style, I giggled and put one hand on his upper arm to steady myself. 

He set me down and stepped back, studying my clothes. I put my sunglasses on top of my head and kissed his cheek, stepping past him and toward the door. "Let's gooo, stop staring." I said to him, opening the door. 

"Well how am I not supposed to stare when you look that good." He said to me, grabbing my small hand and locking the door. 

We ate pizza and walked around the town for a little bit, we went into a small candy store and we both got ice cream, we walked around some more, looking at the different houses and watching kids and their parents walk by together. 

When we were walking down a hill back to our house, Nick started talking. "Would you ever have a kid with me?" He said to me, looking in my eyes but still walking. 

"Yeah." I said back, very sure of myself. "Maybe when we're not so young and live in a college dorm room though." I added on, shading my eyes with my hand from the blazing sun. He nodded and kissed my temple with a smile. 

(A/N: let's just say their both 18 to make my life easier.)

The rest of the walk back was a comfortable silence, I was thinking about our future together the whole time.
