Chapter 10- Our prank day

When Ray pranked, I wouldn't be tricked for it. There were snakes jumping out and he literally set ten alarm clocks. I just made myself deaf for an hour. Unbothered, I got my revenge on him on behalf of the pack and made him deaf for the entire day. He can't "undeaf" himself, since he's a sound manipulation wolf. 

Then Eddy put glue on all the pens he could find, but he didn't find my pens. I just distributed all of mine to various pack members. That morning though, Brett put makeup on Eddy. Eddy looked like a monster with all that makeup on, and Brett made a joke out of Eddy, "Ooooooo, look at that Edwina!" Alicia was laughing so hard that she was rolling around in my mind. For a moment I though she had forgotten about Jordan, except she read my mind and became sober. We had to wait another day, in which Mom and Ems played pranks, until we could do ours.

Mom put giant spiders everywhere, so I took a bag and every time I saw a spider, I put it in the bag. At the end of the day, The bag was overflowing. Seriously, how many spiders did Mom buy!? We have eighty-seven in our bag, said Alicia. That's a bit extreme though, I said.
Ems tried to trick me into eating a cake he made, but it was actually a balloon on the bottom covered with whipped cream, chocolate, and sprinkles. I knew the trick, and Alicia could smell the rubber, so I made Theo poke it. The result? A cream-covered face! Alicia and I enjoyed a good laugh.

Finally, it was our day. Hilary, Sophie, and I woke up at midnight to begin our preparations. We had gone to bed an hour early, to compensate for the time we prepared. I snuck onto Mom's laptop and changed the mouse settings, making it move really fast. Settings>mouse & touchpad> mouse speed. *evil chuckle* 

I went to the kitchen and poured most of the milk out, then added raisins. Ems hates raisins. Then I went to assist Sophie, where she was swapping the sugar with the salt and vice versa. Then she grabbed baking soda and dumped it inside the ketchup. The ketchup says "shake well" in a large font and bold letters. *wink wink*
We'll see what happens!

Hilary had already switched our unfortunate violins with Brett and Eddy's violins. They are sure going to be in for a surprise!
We joined Hilary in slipping marble surprises everywhere! We put them in drawers, in microwaves, in sofas, in cupboards, inside bedrooms, and even inside bathrooms!! We continued to put marbles inside pockets, shoes, and some went inside the refrigerator. Marbles were strewn all over the floor, especially on the stairs. We were done with our preparations. We went back to bed at 12:30 am. It only took 30 minutes. *nudge nudge*
Let our wonders begin!

I woke up at my usual time. Alicia looked smug. I acted normal and waited for my family, then we went down for breakfast together. Theo looked shocked at the sheer amount of marbles. Maria just stared, then slid down the stairs via the handrail. Martha and Halina followed suit. Smart girl, commented Alicia. Imogen, and Kate just carefully picked their way down, then proceeded to calmly go to the kitchen, but shrieked again when they discovered there were still a ton of marbles in the kitchen. Hélène was carried down by André. I was confused for a moment, but Alicia freaked out and immediately took control. "I'm so sorry, Hélène, I had no idea you were pregnant." Her eyes widened. "How did you know? I'm barely a month in."
"I can sense your pups, I have heightened senses due to being a Musical."
"Plural?"
"Yes, I can sense two."
"Hooray!" yelled Hélène while hugging André. They carefully made their way to the kitchen. The others, startled by Hélène's cry of joy, tumbled down the stairs. Maxim, Benjamin, Charles, and Daniel were all in a heap at the bottom of the stairs. Most of the marbles were already brought down by the tumbling blunder, so Rafał, Yuli, and Jani walked down the stairs without any trouble. However, these marbly surprises were still hidden everywhere. Brett and Eddy casually walked in, then looked shocked as they opened the cupboards and several marbles tumbled out. They opened the refrigerator and the same thing happened. Ems took the milk and proceeded to poured it in a cup, but tossed the milk carton into the air when he saw the raisins. Alicia snickered. Minus some slipping on marbles in the kitchen, breakfast went uneventfully, but all of the sudden Yuli sniffed her suspiciously-smelling coffee.
"I thought I put sugar in this? Why on earth is it salty??" she said, confused.
"Our coffee is salty." said Brett and Eddy.
"I swapped the sugar with the salt," Sophie laughed. Yuli groaned. She re-made her coffee and added whatever was inside the salt, hoping sugar was inside. Fortunately, there was no nasty stuff in there! After breakfast, we went our separate ways.
Mom had gone upstairs to work on her laptop, but called for Ems as she screamed about a rushing mouse. Ems doubled over in laughter as the mouse zoomed around on the screen. He reversed my settings. We all enjoyed a good laugh. I think Brett and Eddy had gone to practice.
Brett suddenly mind linked me to come over to the other residence. He also asked me to get Sophie and Hilary and bring them too.Sophie, Hilary, and I rushed to the other residence, where Brett and Eddy looked extremely troubled. There lay our unfortunate plastic violins. I prefer not to describe it. Alicia wasn't paying attention. Brett looked like he was on the verge of tears.
"Don't cry, it was only a prank." said Sophie.
"Alexine, get their real violins." Hilary told me. I teleported to Hilary's office and grabbed their real violins. Both Brett and Eddy breathed a huge sigh of relief when they saw their violins.
"I must say, that was a clever prank." said Eddy. We all chuckled.Eddy's phone suddenly began ringing. Brett gestured for us to remain inside the room, so Hilary closed the door.
"Hi, this is Alpha Eddy Chen and Alpha Brett Yang from Twoset Pack."
"Hello. I'm Alpha Yoel, from Aurantiaco, and I think we can meet to discuss negotiations on April 7th, in 2 days. Please bring your Beta." Eddy looked at Brett, having a silent mind conversation with him. Brett nodded.
"Yes, Yoel, we can come."
"Great, thanks. Have a good day!"
"You too! Bye!" Eddy pressed the end call button. Turning to us, he said, "We have been trying to get an alliance with the Aurantiaco Pack, since they are on our Northernwestern side of the border, plus Hyacintho, on our Northeastern side, except Hyacintho is dealing with a large group of rouges, so we have yet to see them. Argenti is to our very east, to the west it is unclaimed, but further west there is a pack called Lunsolae. We are allied with Agenti and to Argenti's east, Viridiano. There is a pack to the south called Crescere. To our very very south, bordered by a long strech of unclaimed territory, there are the Bumblebee and Nikorsrim Packs. There's also Solune, Apis, and Abeille. Brett is from Nikorsrim."
"My brother Alex is Alpha right now, with his Luna Artemisia. Lunsolae is a tough one though, there are some suspicious activites going on there." Brett said.
"Anyway, we are leaving on April 7th, Sophie comes with us, so Ray and Hilary will be in charge. We expect to return the afternoon of the 8th, of course, if nothing drastic happens." Eddy finished.
Ray appeared in the doorway. "Any news with Aurantiaco?" he asked.
Brett answered, " We are leaving, with Sophie, on April the 7th. We will be back the afternoon of the 8th. You and Hilary will be in charge until then. If there is an attack or there are rouges looking to join, please let us know asap, and do the usual if something happens."
Ray nodded. "Got it. For now, let's enjoy whatever pranks the girls have set up!" Brett walked into the washroom, promptly slipping on some marbles, and yelled, "did you guys put marbles in the washroom as well!?!?" Everyone started laughing.

Eventually, I had to wash the clothes with my family. We hauled baskets of clothes to the laundry room, encountering Martha and Halina, who were also doing laundry. Every family/lone wolf has to do their own clothes, but we share four washing machines. Soon, if more wolves join, we may need another washing machine. It took 40 minutes to wash, so we obtained permission from Brett and Eddy to go out for a run with Martha, Halina, Maria, Yuli, and Jani. Hélène could not shift due to her pregnancy. We ran all around the border, doing the border patrol for Charles and Benjamin so they could have a break. We ran until the 40 minutes were up, then Charles and Ben went back to patroling. We hung the clothes to dry, then it was time for lunch.

We were making sandwiches with eggs, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and ham. André decided to put ketchup on it. Alicia had to suppress herself from laughing. André began shaking the bottle, then opened it to squeeze it out, but as soon as he did that, the ketchup spurted out. André shrieked and pointed the bottle down, hoping it wouldn't get on the ceiling.

With everyone laughing hysterically, André slipped on the ketchup and the marbles from this morning. Soon, the rest the pack members joined in and began throwing marbles at each other, before Brett and Eddy walked in with grave expressions on their faces.

Everyone froze.
