"I, Alexine Chen, still Beta of Twoset, offer to take you back, Alpha Jordan Zhang, as my mate."
"I, Jordan Zhang, accept your offer, Alexine Chen."

I felt the bond manifest itself.

Today is July 12th... I'll need to prepare for the...

I caught sight of a piece of paper stuck on my window.

"i am keen on being king of all the alphas. You nor yOur mate can do anything. yoU will beAr my childRen. I will attack and kill your matE. I will break your bond with your Mate and mate wIth you. No onE will be spared. ~leave your Reply At the Ninth Deposit At LunsoLae!"

I broke into a nervous sweat. It definitely came from Lunsolae, so I hurried over to my desk. There were random uppercase letters; perhaps this carried double meaning. I copied the uppercase letters onto another piece of paper. It spelled this out:
Y  O  U  A R  E  M I  N  E  R  A  N  D A  L  L

Which I deciphered to be:
 -> You are mine. Randall

The bastard who thinks we're his! The nerve of him! CAN'T WAIT TO SQUASH HIM FLAT! Alicia hollered.

Alicia, no kidding, this is serious! You have to tell Jordan immediately! A Lunsolae wolf knows about your Musical powers and does not fear you, yet Lunsolae was not at the convention. Kayda said, in a serious tone.

Kayda was always the first to pick a threat, however small. Dumb wolf, Kayda muttered. Alicia didn't hear, she was too busy trying to mindlink Jordan. I had to ask about this 'Randall'.

I wrote a message to Brett and Eddy, telling them I would be gone for a few hours at Musicon. Putting on my sweater and shoes, I quickly wrote another note for my family. I stuffed the threat and my copy into the pocket. Then I shifted and ran west to Jordan's territory.

Crossing into his territory and startling his patrollers, I bounded into the first building onsite. To my luck, I could smell Jordan in the first room. I burst into the room and immediately shifted back.

"What-?"

"A kidnapping threat!" I exclaim, breathlessly.

Jordan's eyes widened; I handed him the papers.

His eyes widened even more. "It's Randall Liebermann, Beta of Lunsolae! I spoke with them two days ago about borders, but I didn't ally with them. Besides, the Alpha's son and Randall look like boogeymen."
"Lucky you, or else you would have been frowned upon by other alphas. What to do?"
"I don't think we should respond. I think he isn't afraid of a Musical's power and wants to use it for his own gain, besides, he didn't specify what to respond with. Breaking bonds are difficult, and they need extremely powerful but rare witches that exercise dark magic."
"I'll ask my grandfather about this as well-" My grandfather appeared in the doorway. We both shrieked.

"Calm down, it's only me," my grandfather assured us. "Cyrus, my dragon, told me something was wrong. I rushed here after breakfast, without explaining things to my pack. What's going on?"

I handed the papers to him with a shaking hand. After staring intensely at them for two minutes, he began again. "You guys accepted each other, right?" We nodded.
"Excellent, things shouldn't be so precarious. You should make your patrolling schedule more random. There shouldn't be an immediate threat because they didn't specify another information. At least, that's what my experience tells me. As much as I hate to say it, you'll both need to report you location to each other all the time AND you will need to hunt down moles- most likely someone you know."

"Wait what, why moles? We have traitors?" Jordan asked, panicked.

"Someone who knows both of your families could easily find where Alexine lives and post that on her window, in addition, follow me when I crossed Twoset. I was being stalked here."

"I will ask Alpha Brett and Eddy."

"Yeet gotta go, Shi-Han- I mean, your grandmother is getting worried, I will show up tonight at Twoset!" my grandfather hollered before rushing away in a hurry.

Jordan looked rather perturbed. "The Luna ceremony is tonight," he reminded me.

The rest of the day, I simply practiced piano and flute as much as I could. Practicing did wonders to soothe my nerves, as no one in my immediate family was a Luna, so I had practically no one to turn to. I remembered Lucia, who sympathized with me. I didn't know if she was still living with Jordan or if she had gone missing with Robert, but I had seen little of what was left of Jordan's pack.

I had picked out a simple, light grey dress that was short-sleeved and a matching grey cardigan to go with it. There's no need to be so fancy, said Alicia. Then, when the time came for the ceremony I changed into my dress and went off to find Jordan.

"Are there any objections?" Jordan asked.

"Not an objection, but a question. Former Alpha Robert had his suspicions about you. Care to explain?"

"Firstly, former Alpha Robert was descended from an Elemental line. They controlled water. Even Luna Lucia hid her powers, earth and air, from Alpha Robert. He did not have the powers, and resented anyone who did have them. If I let it slip that I was a Musical, there would be repercussions. Eventually, he would find out, and that was when I shifted the night we left for Brisbane, just before we drove out of the Silver Clouds territory. I am a silver wolf with a treble clef on my fur, meaning I have all powers of the Musicals."

"No more objections?" The pack stayed silent.

"You must always stay loyal to the pack and never betray them. You are to take on the responsibilities of a Luna fully. Do you accept the position of Luna for the Musicon Pack?"

"Yes, I, Alexine Yin-Fei Chen, accept the position of Luna for the Musicon Pack."

[By the way, who was that?]
[Cressida, daughter of Sara Lam and Lyndon Feng.]

"There's only mated wolves in the rooms, no need to worry."

"Well still, let's go."

The next morning

I screamed. I was drenched in water- and I wasn't even in the shower yet!

Wait, water?

I turned around. "Jordan-"
"Don't scold me like that-"
"-why are you spraying water at me!?!?"
"I tripped and the tap water went out of control!"
"Well, I can't imagine how it will be with fire!"

I stared at my reflection in the mirror. I caught of my mark at the base of my neck- then Jordan ducked behind the door. I chuckled.

"Hey, is there room for an extra one?" he asked.
"Sure, but no funny business, otherwise you'll have to carry me everywhere today!" I hollered back.

Jordan gulped. "Alright, I'll be in soon!"

When we were done, we simply walked into the kitchen. However, the moment we walked in, everyone stared at us in shock. Then everyone's expressions changed. My parents glared at Jordan, Brett and Eddy began congradulating us, and wolves from both packs either choked trying not to laugh or just sat there awkwardly. Emerson burst straight into laughter and fell off his chair. Quoting Emerson: "I absolutely do not want to know what my little sister was up to last night!!"

"Sheesh, we're just here to eat breakfast, what's the deal?"
"You're marked-" Emerson managed to choke out before starting to laugh again. I sighed.
"Where's the cereal?" Jordan asked.

At the doorway, one of Jordan's pack members, Emmaline, scowled at the sight, her eyes set on Emerson. She turned around to hurry away, but another wolf deliberately blocked and elbowed her.

The screechy voice gave it away as Emerson abruptly became silent.
"Emerson is mine, don't you dare touch him, Emmaline He," sneered Duanna.
