CONNOR

HOSPITAL

I stared at the commotion surrounding the hospital and watched as Natasha got out of a black Corvette and hurried into the hospital. I was currently wearing my Reaper outfit. "Is he gonna make it?" I heard Romanoff say. "I don't know." Cap answered. "Tell me about the shooter." Nat voiced. "She's fast. Strong. Had a metal arm." Cap explained. "Ballistics?" Nat questioned. "Three slugs, no rifling. Completely untraceable." Another woman voiced. "Soviet-made." Nat sounded. "Yeah." The woman said. "He's in V-Tach. Crash cart coming in." A woman announced. "Nurse, help me with the drape. BP's dropping. Defibrillator! I want you to charge him at 100." Staff rambled. "Don't do this to me, Nick." I heard Natasha say. "Pulse? No pulse. Okay, 200, please. Stand back! Three, two, one. Clear! Get me epinephrine! Pulse? Negative." The multiple voices of the hospital staff meshed together beginning to overwhelm me. "Don't do this to me, Nick. Don't do this to me." Red whispered. "Time? 1:03, Doctor. Time of death, 1:03 a.m." The staff announced.

My hands had curled tightly into fists. "Natasha. Natasha!" Cap called out. "Why was Fury in your apartment?" Nat asked him. "I don't know." Cap answered. "You're a terrible liar." Nat told him before I saw her exit the hospital and rub her forehead with the palm of her hand. I took a step back before squinting my eyes. I'm coming for you, Shadow. And when I do. I'm gonna make you wish I was the real Grim Reaper.

NATASHA

I exited the hospital a mess taking in multiple breaths. I froze for a second and looked up at a nearby rooftop, furrowing my eyebrows. I shook my head before walking off with a sigh.

CONNOR

I traversed the rooftops in search of the two assassins, but never came across them. I stopped at the edge of a building. "Looking for someone?" A voice asked me. I lifted my head before turning around. I found a man wearing a black outfit with white target on his forehead. "Reaper." The man said. "Who the hell are you?" I asked from behind the mask. "The name's Bullseye. Rumor has it that Kingpin put a pretty big bounty on your head." He answered. "How big?" I asked. "A clean $50 million." He voiced. I let out a low whistle. "$50 million. That's crazy." I stated. "The best part. He wants you dead." He said. I nodded my head. "Cute. How the hell are you planning on doing that, Bullseye?" I inquired. "I'm built different." He said with a smirk as I rolled my eyes.

"Oh for the love of--" I started before Bullseye threw a metal needle at my face. I raised a brow before plucking it out of the air. His eyes went wide. "I missed." He announced. "You did." I stated. "How did I miss?" He asked...I'm guessing he was asking himself. "Maybe you suck." I said twirling the needle around my fingers, tossing it into the air, and continuing to twirl around my other hand. "I never miss." He said getting angry. "There's a first time for everything. But a little advice." I said. "Maybe don't have wear a damn target on your head." I said before flinging the needle at him. His eyes went wide. He didn't have time to react before the needle landed dead center of the target. His eyes rolled into the back of his head before he fell back onto the rooftop dead. "So...Fisk wants me dead, huh? All right. Let them come. I've been itching to express some rage." I voiced looking down at the dead body of the assassin. I squinted my eyes standing up before dropping off the building into an alley.
