Nakia's POV

Death.

Death is a word, an emotion.

It tells us that we are no longer strong, no longer capable of doing things that make us feel like we are strong.

It tells us this is our end, nothing can stop what is happening, the power in our soul has given up, no hope left in us.

That's what the bosses plan was on us 6, to experience death. It was hard at first to take in but then I realized that there is nothing else we could do to stop him from his plan, luckily Connor had said he would keep me safe, away from it happening to me but to save my friends from it happening to them, would take a lot of work.

He drove for seemed like hours to this place. We passed about 3 cities, leading towards open flat lands and the a large forest covered in trees, seemed like it took about 500,000 hours.

Once he stopped the car, I looked out the window, an old cabin sat in the middle of no where. I'd say maybe 100 years old? With its broken up wood sidings and long grass and a couple trees surrounding it, definitely looks it be about 100 years old.

"Uh why are we in the middle of no where." I said opening up the car door.

"Well this is where I work, my boss isn't here so you can come with me." Connor shrugged.

"Okay cool, but why does it look like its about 100 years old." I chuckled while stepping out of the car onto the ground.

"Yeah it's not exactly the cleanest but it hides all of his illegal plans in here."

"Well what are those illegal plans?" I smiled, walking towards the cabin.

"Unfortunately I don't know." Connor shrugged, faking a smile. Somehow, I felt like he just lied to me.

I didn't feel like saying much more so I looked down at the ground and studied the snows bright white features, glowing and sparkling from the sun shining onto it.

"It's still pretty cold out." Connor says shivering, looking down at me. I slow down a bit and walk behind him, wrapping my arms around his waist into a hug. I go on my tippy toes, resting my chin on his shoulder.

"Are you warm now." I whisper in his ear.

Connor's POV

Nakia's warm breath on my ear sent a shiver down my spine. Having a girl close to me was normal but having Nakia next to me was different. I felt more nervous and shy around her when I know I shouldn't be. I don't know how on earth the plan my boss made is going to work.

"Yes of course." I said back to her after a long minute of silence.

She let go of my waist and ran up to the cabin, twisting the doorknob repeatedly.

"It's locked." Nakia says as I walk up to her.

"No shit." I laughed and grabbed the keys from my pocket.

I unlocked the door and opened it. "Lady's first." I smirked as Nakia walked inside the cabin.

Nakia's POV

I stepped inside the cabin, my jaw dropping in amazement.

"How the hell could a rotten little cabin on the outside turn out to look like a million dollar mansion on the inside?!" I said while looking up at Connor, his face turned into a wide grin.

"My boss did all of this, he bought the place for 50 bucks and turned it into this."

"Your boss should do this for a living jesus." I said sarcastically.
