Chapter 24

Previously in (Blonde) Katie's POV:

I kept running, my breathing was getting heavy, my legs are about to give out and my heart pounding faster then I've heard it beat before was creating a dissy feeling in my head.

I can't do this.

I gave up. I dropped onto the ground, puking more then I ever had, crying.

"Katie why did you keep running! I really want to talk to you." A voice came from behind me, I knew it was fake so I decided to ignore it, until I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Kian?"

(Blonde) Katie's POV:

I don't know what to think. I can't decide if I'm happy about seeing him here and that he took to the time to come search and find me or if he's just gonna scream in my face like he did a couple days ago.

I sigh, and give him a slight smile. I wonder what he has to say for himself after making out with another girl at a party and breaking up with me.

"Why are you here? You broke up with me.." I whisper, closing my eyes. Fuck I'm so weak, normally I would fight him to prove myself but now, I feel more weak then I've ever felt before.

"Katie I never broke up with you what are you talking about?" Kian asks, sitting down in the grass next to me. How the hell does he not remember?

"Yeah you did, we went to a party and I found you making out with a random girl and then you drove me home and went off on me on how you only dated me because my parents make money." I sob, I can't believe I'm letting all this out on him, this is embarrassing.

"Katie I never did that to you and I would never do that to you."

"Then why do I remember everything crystal clear?"

Kian's POV:

It's her fear, her fear was of losing me so when we shot the arrows into her, she dreamt of me doing terrible things to break her and now she believes what I did to her in her dream was real and happened. I regret doing everything, I don't know why I applied for a job in the first place. I know it's not my fault because I didn't know that this job would be hurting people, especially people I love but I regret listening to my boss. I'd rather die then have the person I love the most suffer in fear.

"Katie I promise you that I would never do that to you, but I came here to tell you something, there is going to be someone coming, you have to fight it, save your friends because it will try and kill you. Katie im doing all I can to get you to escape and you have to listen to me, save you and your friends from the demon, fight and stay alive." I turn and face her, holding her cheeks with my hands, whipping the tears away from her eyes.

"Kian I.. I'm scare..scared."

"Shhhh don't be scared, you're strong and I've seen you at your strongest Katie, just believe in yourself and everything will be okay, think and fight and escape, I will try everything I can to get you and your friends out."

"Why c..cant we j..just leave right n..now." (Blonde) Katie whispers, tears still streaming down her face.

"Because you could get killed and there is an electric force around the forest, you have a chip inside of you that if you pass the forest, you could die and baby that's my fear, I can't let you die."

"Kia.."

"Baby I have to go, I love you and stay safe okay? If you can do this and stay alive, you will escape." I say, looking into her ocean blue eyes.

"I'll stay safe."
