Chapter 9

I am very pissed because I wrote a nice long chapter and then the app closed. So I just rewrote this whole chapter for you guys .-. so here yew go

Nakia's POV

I took Connor's hand and walked out my front door. Luckily my parents weren't home, my siblings on the other hand saw us but didn't care. They just looked at us and then went back to a game of Mario Cart.

Once we got to the bottom of my driveway, I took both of my hands and put them into my sweatshirt pockets. My whole body was freezing cold. It was about 20 degrees outside, I only had jeans, ugg boots and a sweatshirt on.

Connor never gave me the option to go grab my jacket or hat at any time before we left. I only managed to grab my phone which was at 47%.

We walked down the street in silence. The sun shined bright on the sidewalk but it was still cold out. I looked down at the sidewalk for the most part, I haven't looked at Connor once since we left. It was a bit awkward I will admit but I didn't want to be the one to start the conversation.

"You cold?" Connor asked me, looking up at the houses we passed by.

"Yes very." I said watching my warm breath in the air.

"Follow me then." Connor said now running towards a black car. I started running towards the car with him.

We ran through a big patch of snow on the ground, my boots are now covered in snow. I continued to run towards the car, it got colder and colder each step I took.

"Here get inside." Connor said opening up the passenger door for me.

"Thanks." I said panting out of breath. I sat in the passenger seat, it felt good to sit down because my legs felt like jello. I put my hands to my face once Connor got into the drivers seat. He put the car into drive and blasted the heat.

"You're really that tired?! We barely even ran!" Connor said laughing at me.

"I don't run for hours everyday, so of course I'm tired!" I said sarcastically.

"Yeah but we didn't even run that far."

"Well I have no energy that's why."

"Well that's why we're going to go get food right now silly." Connor said smirking at me. I rolled my eyes, fighting a smile and looked out the window. It was now warm in the car which made my teeth no longer chatter.

"Nakia I know your favorite food is pizza, so I'm going to run in and get a pizza and then we can eat it in my car and talk about your friends okay?" Connor said looking at me.

"Yeah sure, that sounds great." I said looking back at him with a smile. He nodded in return and pulled into a parking lot at Pizza Hut.

"I'll be right back" He said kissing my cheek.

"Oh uhm okay." I said with a smile. I hope I wasn't blushing, was I? My cheeks felt warm but.. oh my gosh I was blushing.

"I'm so embarrassing" I said under my breath. I put my hand to my face to try and hide my smile.

How could I like him already when I've only met him for what 3 hours?! This literally is all messed up. He's attractive yeah, he's cute yeah but that doesn't mean I should like him. Nakia you like him it's okay to like a boy.

"What the hell is wrong with me." I saw pulling my hair. I'm here for information about my friends and that's it. Not to start liking a boy.

I heared the car door open, I instantly drop my hair and sit in a normal position.
