"I can't believe Mr Universe would do that! Doesn't he see what's going on?!? What Pearl has caused?!?" Connie exclaimed as Bismuth was telling her and the others her report while Steven was leaning against a nearby wall, deep in thought.
"Pearl has him wrapped around her finger. They got close once Steven "died" and Pearl filled Greg's head with all these lies about how martial law is needed and would have kept Steven safe." Bismuth said as Sadie looked perplexed and annoyed.
"Wait. Wasn't Mr Universe seeing someone already?" She asked as Bismuth sighed.
"Yes. He still is. All the while he's sleeping around with Pearl. The woman is aware of it, but with how much power Pearl has, she can't do a thing about it but watch as Pearl gets intimate with the man she thought loved her. But she hasn't left Greg due to being in the worst case of denial I've ever seen in my life." Bismuth explained as the others looked sickened.
"Sounds like Mr Universe is far from innocent himself. That poor woman being forced to watch all of that..." Patricia said as Steven let out a grunt.
"It's her choice to stay with him. That's her own fault. If she wants to get in my way? I'll just kill her too. Problem solved." The hybrid said as he headed for the door.
"Hold on. Where are you going, Steven?" Lapis asked as Steven groaned.
"To deal with Dad. Where else would I be going?" He replied as everyone gasped. Steven was really going to kill his own father?
"Steven. You're actually going to kill your own father?!? I know he's become a sleaze but do you really....?" Connie began to ask until Steven gave her an angered look.
"My "father"? You mean the one who knowingly left me with the same Gems who would leave me for dead? You mean the one who waited 16 years before taking me to a doctor? You mean the one who never got me legal documentation even AFTER he became rich? You mean the one who actually had the gall to tell me his life growing up was harder than mine? Trust me, Connie: I HAVE PLENTY OF REASONS TO KILL THAT PIECE OF SHIT EXCUSE OF A SPERM DONOR!" Steven snarled before leaving.
Everyone else either had a look of worry or confusion.
"He's changed so much. That...it doesn't even seem like Steven anymore." Peridot said sadly.
"The Steven we knew died the day the people he loved and trusted betrayed him and left him for dead. He may not be dead physically, but the things that made him the Steven we knew...his love and compassion and kindness...those things are dead." Lapis said as Connie felt her hand forming into a fist.
"All the more reason for Pearl and the Gems to be taken down." She said as the others nodded.
*Meanwhile...*
Greg Universe had just arrived back to his new home a while later. Since the "death" of his son Steven, he's been living here with a woman he met. Sadly, the relationship had been rocky as of late due to certain circumstances.
"Hey Daisy? I want to---" Greg began to say as he unlocked and opened the door...only to gasp in horror at what he saw: Pools of blood on the floor and a trail of it that lead right to the living room where Steven was sitting on the couch, drink in hand and the dead and butchered body of Daisy at his feet.
"Who are you?!? What are you doing in my home?!?" Greg screamed as Steven simply chuckled.
"Welcome home, Dad." He replied as Greg gasped in horror...
"N-No....no way you can be.....he died years ago!!! You can't be my son!!! YOU AREN'T STEVEN!!!" The man screamed as Steven chuckled.
"I'd say call the Ghostbusters, but I cut the home phone line. But despite your denial, you'll have to face the truth: I am Steven. And you....." The hybrid said as he summoned his corrupted fist and sent Greg crashing through the window and landing outside, the glass cutting his head open as he now bled while trying to recover.
"You never were a good father. Leaving me with Gems who you knew weren't mentally or emotionally stable? Neglecting so much important shit when it came to me? Then having the nerve to say your life as a kid was harder than mine? And now I find out you're spilling secrets to Pearl? Once I end you? She'll be joining you next." Steven snarled as he then summoned his corrupted claw and sliced his father's van apart, emphasizing his point as Greg looked at his son tearfully.
"THEY DID IT FOR YOU!!! ALL OF THIS WAS FOR YOU!!! WHY DO YOU WANT TO KILL THEM?!? WHY DO YOU WANT TO KILL ME?!?" Greg screamed, blood pouring like a faucet out of his head as Steven had him on the ground, his van now in shambles and the woman he was with now dead.
"For me? Well let me ask you: You think I want to live in an Imperial style setting where Pearl makes and changes laws to how it suits her rather than the people?" Steven asked.
"Why destroy it all?!? This is the best thing to happen to Beach City and you know it!" Greg snapped as Steven glared at him.
"Come off it. I know you're only siding with Pearl beacuse you slept with her. To make matters worse, you did so knowing your side bitch couldn't do a damn thing about it. She was forced to become a cuck because of you." Steven asked as Greg glared at him.
"You can't judge me! You have no right to!" He snapped until Steven drove his corrupted claw right into his father's chest!
"No. I'll leave your judgement for the afterlife to sort out. But I just noticed: I can feel your spine, Dad. Which is funny since I didn't think you had one." The hybrid said before twisting his hand and snapping Greg's spine from the inside with a sickening SNAP before removing his hand.
Looking at the blood on his hand, Steven simply shook his head before heading back to the hideout to report back to the others.
