"I promise!" [Tanjiro Kamado x Demon Reader]

1 -A new beggining-

Third person POV
(Y/N) was a about 2 years old when her parents abandoned her. Lucky two people found her and helped her threw out her life.

"(Y/N!) Could you go chop some wood, please? We're kinda low." Tanjiro asked the (H/C)  girl.

"Of course!" She smiled at Tanjiro.

They were together as a couple, and the whole village knew it. Since they were kids they would never leave each other.

She grabbed the axe and walked over and started working on wood, when she chopped enough she put it all in the pile.

"Tanjiro!" A woman called.

"You're face is all covered in snoot. Let me clean you up." The woman said whipping off her hands, then she walked over to Tanjiro cleaning his face with a rag.

"You know, you really don't have to go." The woman told Tanjiro. "All this snow could be dangerous." She said finishing up his cleaning.

"I want us to have a good New Years celebration where everyone can eat as much as they want, So I'll sell all the charcoal I can." Tanjiro said.

The girl smiled giving a sigh "How thoughtful." She told Tanjiro.

"Hey, bro!" A boy called to Tanjiro running to him with a girl.

"Are you going to town again today?" The boy asked him.

"I'm coming with you!" The girl pouted next to the boy.

"No, you're not." The woman said, "You know you can't walk as fast as Tanjiro, sweetie." The girl said.

"Ah, come on mom!" The boy pouted "No way." The woman told the children.

"He's not going to be able to use the cart today, which means he can't give you a ride when you're tired." The woman explained.

Both of the kids sigh in sadness.

"Tanjiro!" The boy whined and hugged him. "I wanna come with you." The girl also whined "I promise I'll help out!" She said holding her hands up to her chest.

"That's very generous of you, Hanako." Tanjiro told the girl rubbing her head. The girl got her hopes up.

"But no." Tanjiro told her innocently "You're staying home today." He said having his hand on her head as the girl whined tearing up.

Then Tanjiro got down to the boys level "Sorry Shigeru. You are, too." Tanjiro told him with a hand in his cheek.

"But I'll bring back goodies, okay?" He said smiling "Promise?!" The boy asked excitedly.

Tanjiro chuckled "Yeah." And Shigeru laughed. "And Hanako, I'll read for you when I get home later." He told her smiling.

"'Kay!" The girl smiled, "Good girl." He smile "Thank you for doing this, Tanjiro." The woman told him.

"Course. Time for me to head out." Tanjiro told them. "Hey Takeo, do me a favor while I'm gone, 'Kay?" Tanjiro asked him "Chop as much wood as you can with (Y/N)." He told him.

"Yeah, I was already gonna do that anyway. But I was kinda hoping we'd do that together this time. Hmph." He said annoyed.

Tanjiro walk over and pet his head "There, there now." He smiled "Knock it off would you?!" He said clearly embarrassed.

"You're blushing, Také!" Shigeru laughed "Shut up you, brat!" He exclaimed in a high voice.

"There there now!" Tanjiro said putting both hands on his head and rubbing it.

"I told you to cut it out!" He whined. The everyone that was there laughed.

"Come back as soon as you can okay?" Shigeru yelled to Tanjiro.
