Liz and Jimin were playing checkers while Halo was holding a sleeping Prince. Taehyung was scrolling through Twitter on his phone. Jungkook had left to deal with "work." Both his businesses and his mafia work. Halo was rocking side to side as he held the sleeping pup. Soft snores leaving his slightly parted lips. Jimin and Liz decided to play a game to distract themselves from the idea that their father was in surgery at the moment.

"So, you and Tae are getting back together?" Jimin exposed randomly.

Liz dropped his black game piece and looked up at Jimin.

"He told you?!" Liz whisper-yelled.

"So you are!" Jimin whispered as he clapped his hands and laughed.

Liz smacked his forehead on the table with a groan.

"How did you know?"

"Just a hunch. It was just the way Tae was looking at you. Same as when you two dated." Jimin smiled as he sat back, crossing his arms.

Liz looked up, his chin resting on the table with a pout.

"You three are leaving me in the dust." Jimin pouts as he shakes his head.

"Three?"

"You and Tae are getting back together, Namjoon and Jinnie are dating, and Mani and Jennie are almost dating if they aren't already."

"You wouldn't be left in the dust if you would just confess your undying love for Jungkook."

Jimin rolled his eyes before jumping four of Liz's pieces using his king.

"I don't love him."

"Lying is bad, Jimin."

"Shut your face." Jimin stood up and walked over to sit next to Halo who smiled at him.

"How are you?" Halo whispered as he continued to rock Prince.

"I'm fine. How are you?"

"I'm here. We're just lucky we caught it fast, I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have your father."

Jimin hummed as he moved closer to his father and rested his head on his shoulder, rubbing his head against Halo's neck. Halo grinned as he hugged his son. Rubbing his arm as he squished his cheek against Jimin's head. Liz looked at them and his heart grew warm.

He thought he'd never see this again. He thought they'd only grow farther apart.

"Liz."

Liz looked over to Taehyung who clicked his phone off then slid it into his hoodie pocket before opening his arms.

"Come here."

Liz pushed the chair out then walked over to Taehyung and sat in the chair next to him. Taehyung pulled him to sit in his lap before hugging Liz close to him. Liz hugged Taehyung's head into his chest as Taehyung massaged his thighs.

The five were all quiet. The only sound before beeping and doctors walking around. Jimin fell asleep on Halo's shoulder as well. Only waking up when the doctor came to tell the family about the surgery.

"It was a success, the tumor is gone. He just needs to be careful and do what he can to keep healthy. If it comes back, we'll deal with it as seen fit. He'll wake up in a few hours but you can go into his room now." She informed everyone, smiling at everyone.

"Thank you so much." Halo bowed.

"My pleasure." She bowed back before taking her leave.

They all stood up and walked into Leo's hospital room. Halo hummed as he looked at his husband before leaning down and placing a soft kiss on his forehead.
