-"Did you know I'm a god?" Venti chirped quietly, with a nervous smile on his face as he looked at me. I didn't believe him at first.
"I know it's silly, but I'm really a god! Believe me." He got up and put a hand on his chest "Won't you believe a friend that's oh so dear to you? Or, perhaps you don't believe me, but that's fine."
"I need proof." I said in a stern voice.
He stops for a moment to think, "Ahh... I don't know how to show you any proof of being an Archon."
"Hmm?" I hummed, "So that means you're not a real god!"
"—I am! It's just...hard to give you proof. Hm.." He thinks about some more then speaks up. "Well, have you noticed the statue by the Cathedral kinda looks like me?"
Now that I've thought about it, yeah. It sorta looks like him. I nod while humming.
"That's me. Is that enough proof?" Said he, as he put on a serious face which made me giggle. He never looked so serious before.
"One more proof," I added. "Then I'll believe you."
He groaned, then sighed, "...Guess I'll tell you my backstory." He sat down beside me, looking at his feet in sadness.
"I was once a whirlwind... but..."
"I took the form of a friend."
He took out his lyre and started to tell me a tale that I will always remember.
In old Monstadt transpired the story to be told.
Where a tyrant ruled, I met a boy, not that old.
The lyre he played, and for a song he sought.
But storm-walls blocked blue sky—he was sincerely distraught.
"I do so wish to see the birds in flight!" Said he, his strong eyes filling with light. But his voice was lost in the howling wind's churn.
For the Whirlwind takes, and gives naught in return.
The true sky, and songs that cageless soar...
Were they not wishes worth fighting for?
So the boy turned, extending his hand.
"Let us cast down the tyrant and his walls from this land."
The young boy raised then the flag of revolt, and I threw myself into freedom's tumult!
Victorious were we who fought to be free.
Gods fell, winds whipped, nations shook violently.
He started to choke up on his words,
In the smoke, a despot met his doom, and we watched as his great tower fell none too soon.
Monstadt began anew, the story passed down.
And since then never has another worn its crown.
His shining aqua eyes looked at mine, filled with sadness and sorrow. His lips curled into a sad smile, "it's been years since I ever saw him. I wonder when I get to meet him soon.."
Venti looked at the lit lanterns floating in the sky, my voice disappeared and look at them too.
"If he was still alive, we could've watched these brilliant lit skies together!— and with you too of course, ehe." He exclaimed. His voice was now gentle, "A refreshing drink, a gentle breeze..." he sighed.
