[A/N] Hello, minions of Wattpad. ( I don't know where that came from.) So earlier today I reached 100 followers! *Jumps up and down* I said on my Book of Shorts that I would publish a chapter in celebration. And so, as a girl of my word, I present to you the final (maybe) chapter of Battle of the Companions. (WARNING: Contains TenxRose adorable fluff. Don't say I didn't warn you...),

(Rose's POV)
The water glistened and the sand was was so bright that I had to shield my eyes as I opened the TARDIS door. I was wearing a one piece swim suit with a T-shirt over the top. I heard a door creak and looked around. Jack was striding out of the other TARDIS in nothing but boxers. Donna stepped out next to me with Martha by her side, and Amy, Clara and River watched from my right. Jack strutted into the water, puffing his chest out, then a second later ran back out on tiptoes saying, "Coldcoldcoldcoldcold." All of us laughed.
I stepped out of the TARDIS, the Doctor behind me. Before, he had asked me where I wanted to go for my birthday, so I chose the sunny beach.
Martha and Clara ran towards Jack, spun him around and forced him back into the water. Amy and Rory walked out together, their fingers interlocked, Donna laid out a towel and started sunbathing and Eleven begun making a sandcastle with a working drawbridge and turrets.
My Doctor looked at me, shielding the side of his face from the sun.
"Care for a swim?"
"Sure."
We walked into the water, the small waves lapping at our ankles. We swum out for a bit, until we could only just touch the bottom on tiptoes. I floated on my back, staring up at the blue sky. Not a single cloud lingered there.
"Rose?"
I turned.
"You okay?"
I smiled, trying to make it reach my eyes.
But the Doctor always knows.
"Rose, what happened?"
What happened. Not, what's wrong? What happened.
Good question.
I felt tears threaten to spill in the corners of my eyes, and I blinked them away hurriedly.
"Rose, look at me."
I turned and looked at him. Not in the eyes. I couldn't look him in the eyes. but he reached a hand out and held my chin, getly lifting my head upwards. I looked him in the eyes.
"What happened?"
I took a deap breath. Where to start?

"You know what Jack said earlier? About us being together?"
His eyes widened. 'Oh, no, it was-"
"I just thought that-"
"No, I-"
"I'm sorry-"
"It's not that-"
"Oh, it's just that-"'
"I didn't-"
"Doctor." That shut him up.
I stood up and found his hand through the sea water. "I'm going to say something to you. Once I've said it I can't take it back. So just wait till I'm done, kay?"
He nodded. "Okay."
I inhaled and looked down. "I love you. I love you so, so, so much. I've been so terrified of saying this because I was afraid of what your reaction would be. I was afraid that when I said it you would never ever say it back. I love you." Then I exhaled and looked up. He leaned towards me and whispered to me.
"Never say never ever."
And that was it. I crumpled in that moment like a piece of paper before being tossed over a shoulder, and I couldn't unfold.
Through my teary eyes, I saw the Doctor put his mouth next to my ear and say something so quiet I could barely hear him. But it was loud enough to hear that he was holding back tears.
"Rose I... I love you too."
I turned so we were eye to eye. He planted the softest of kisses on my lips, like I might break into a million pieces if he pressed too hard. But he shouldn't have worried. I was already utterly shattered, and only one thing could possibly put me back together.
And it was this.
His lips pressing onto mine, the sun still hot on my back, his hands on my cheeks, neck, back, hips, loving him, him wanting me. And I could imagine. All the voices in his head. All of time and space. Everything that ever called to him, making him listen. I could imagine that none of it mattered, that he didn't care, because for once, nothing mattered but us.

I broke away. He stared at me, and opened his mouth to say something and I splashed his face with water.
"That," he said, sputtering,"was uncalled for."
And he splashed me back.
I gasped at the cold water, and pushed water towards him. He dived sideways, went under, came up shaking his head like a wet dog. Soon, we were having a full on water fight, and the other begun to join us, free for all. I was splashing, diving, pushing people over and laughing like a maniac. We were slowly moving into shore, too, without really noticing. At one point, after giggling with Martha at Eleven getting his suit wet, someone pushed me and I fell back into the ocean. I felt hands lifting me up. The Doctor pulled me onto my feet, overbalanced, and fell backwards onto the shoreline with me on top of him.
I laughed at him, kissed him softly and pulled him to his feet. I moved back to rejoin the fight, but he tugged on my arm, pulling me back to him, and he wrapped his arms around me.
