Chapter 04

Alene's POV
We were driving around for a while until we found this theater at the edge of town. It was huge & it looked like a castle. we smiled at each other & Luke pulled into the parking lot & parked in the first empty spot he found.
I was on my way to open my door but
"Don't you dare...." Luke told me. I shook my head as he walked out & went around the truck. I giggled as he opened my door & helped me out with an extended hand out to me.
"There you go my lady." He said in a horrible British accent because of his drawl. I snickered at him.
"Well, thank you, kind sir." I say in a British accent that was way better than his. Then we both started cracking up. He held my hand in his as we walked into the theater. It's wasn't empty nor was it packed. it was perfect. we walked up to the line of people who were buying tickets for their movies.
"Next!" 5-8 mins later
"Next"
While we were waiting to be next I was looking at the board that showed all the movies that were playing & even now & then it would change to show other movies.
"American Sniper.........@8:30.....@11:30........"
Wow this movie is about 2 hrs long.
I looked at the time & it was 8:00 pm already. Ok we have 30 mins to grab snacks & find this theater room in this large theater with 2 1/2 floors.
"Next!" The receptionist yelled out.
we walked up to her.
"2 tickets for American Sniper please." Luke asked while pulling his wallet out. I was about to pull my money out but Luke stopped me. "you ain't paying, When your with me you never need to pay." He whispered & smiling at me. I was going to argue with him for that but not in front of people so I just slowly placed my money back in my pocket acting like nothing happened.
"Here you go, that would be $12 please." the receptionist said as she handed our tickets to us. Luke payed & we went to the another booth that was close to the ticket booth. Luke gave the guy our tickets. He ripped a piece of the ticket & handed back the rest. "Enjoy your movie" he announced
Luke nodded his head & I said Thank you to him. we then went to the concession stand.
"What do you want?" He asked whispering in my ear keeping his voice on the down-low.
"Just popcorn & a drink." I answered simply & smiling up at him. He chuckles & pecks my lips quickly.
"What can I get for you too?" A lady about her late 20's early 30's asked.
She looked like to be a fan of country music. Like if you were to sing a song she would know it instantly. from old to new. so I answered for Luke before he could.
"A medium Popcorn & a Large drink please." I said then looking up at Luke who was in complete utterly shocked.
"Ok, would you like to upgrade your popcorn for $0.50 more?" She asked
"No, thank you." I replied
"Ok, anything else? Any candy?"
"No, that's all, unless you want candy?" I asked Luke. He shook is head "No"
"Ok, $8.62 is your total" she said. Then she went to grab our popcorn.
"What kind of drink would you like?" She asked looking at the both of us. I looked up to Luke to find the answer but he just whispered. "it's up to you."
"Coke is fine, but easy on the ice please."
Because they always put more ice than soda to save money on it. Stupid if you ask me. after we paid I grabbed the drink & Luke grabbed the popcorn. I thanked the lady & we were on our way to the room where it was playing at. I looked at the time 8:37. Oh man. There might not be seats anymore & it's about to start. well most of the time it's still the commercial things. we looked at the ticket
(Floor 3 Room 19) I chuckled to myself.
I looked to me left & saw on the wall
Theaters 1-10, I looked to my right & saw
Theaters 11-35 upstairs. I showed Luke the ticket room. "you got to be kidding me." He laughed "it always happens, I picked a wrong room number for that song." I chuckled.
"Over there." I told Luke pointing to the stairs.
We walked up & found the room on the 3rd floor. We walked in & it was pretty quite. The movie hadn't started yet. Thank god. I was preparing for a packed room. once we walked through the little tunnel I was looking at the seating. wow. it's empty only about 6-7 people scattered in the theater room. we walked up all the way to the top & sat in the middle of the seats. The film projector was above me. After a few more mins of commercials the movie started. the lights dimmed down. I got a little antsy because I was a bit excited. Luke chuckled at me & gave my hand a little squeeze.
I was so into the movie.
