Chapter 13

( Alene's POV )

Aaron and I have been texting back and forth for a while now, and today is the day that we are reunited. Luke had a busy day ahead of him, and seemed a little out of it today, but it could be the stress lately. I still can't figure out what he was talking about on the phone that morning. I trust Luke, so I guess I should just leave it alone. Today Sophia and I were going shopping, we heard that downtown Orlando was really nice, and had a bunch of cute shops too! I looked over to Luke who was snoring away on his side leaning on his arm. I giggled and got up grabbing my phone and heading to the bathroom. I locked the door and sat on the sink.
- ' You up? ' I texted Sophia.
- ' Yeah, Luke sleeping? '
- ' What do you think? '
- ' Lol, that's what I thought. '
- ' Lol, all of the shops open at 7:00 so we should leave in half and hour because it takes about 20 minutes or so to get there. '
- ' Ok. I'll meet you up front? I'll call and have a rental car here by then. '
- ' 👍🏻 '

I after using the bathroom I changed quickly. I pulled on my jean cut-offs, with boots and a cream colored shirt with the sleeves cut out that said " Cowboy Take Me Away " on it. I quickly moved through the bus not wanting to wake anyone up. I met Alene outside a little later than planned. She was sitting in a black Chevy and listing to ' Cowboys and Angels ' by Dustin Lynch. As I was getting in the car I sang along with her
" She's sweet, I'm Wild , We're Dangerous! Cowboys and Angles! "
" About time! " She giggled pulling out.
" I know! Sorry! "
" I'm just joking, so where are we having breakfast? "
" There's a coffee place downtown. "
" Ok. "
She put in the address to the downtown and we were on our way.
We pulled into a parking spot and decided to walk everywhere. We walked into the coffee shop and were greeted by an overly happy employee.
" What can I get you ladies today? " She asked.
" I'll have a medium vanilla bean frap. " Sophia told the girl.
" Alrighty, and for you ma'am? " She smiled at me.
" Um, I'll have a medium non-fat white mocha. " I told her.
" Sounds good. Eric will hand you ladies your order right over there, " She said pointing to a blond haired guy who looked happy too. He looked up and winked at the girl. Oh lord.
" How much? " I asked.
" Oh, uh sorry, 7.50. " She told me, snapping out of Eric's gaze.
I handed her a ten and told her to keep the rest. We grabbed our coffee and were on our way to Victoria's Secret.
" You didn't have to pay for me. " Sophia said.
" You paid for the truck, the least I can do is spend 10 dollars. " I laughed.
" Ok... " She giggled.
We shopped at Victoria's Secret and found some cute stuff... stuff Luke will surely like. Next we went to Bath and Body Works. We got a maybe a little too much there. We went to Gage, then Forever 21, as we were walking to Marshals I heard a familiar voice
" Alene! " I turned around and sprinted down the side walk running into his embrace.
" Aaron! " I laughed.
" Aaron? " Sophia said.
" Hey Sophia! " He smiled.
" Oh my god! " She hugged him tight.
" Are you guys shopping around? " He asked us.
" Yup. " I said popping the 'p'.
" Mind if I tag along? So we can catch up? " He asked.
" Of corse! " I grinned. " Like old times!" Sophia and I handed him our bags and he laughed.
" Ugh! Just like old times! " He laughed.
We spent the rest of the day catching up and shopping. We parted ways at 5:00 because I had to get back and he had to get ready for the concert.

( Luke's POV )

Today I was having the video director and crew come out. It worked our perfectly because Alene was out shopping all day. Some people swept me away and put me in jeans and a really nice white button up. Some girl was undressing me with her eyes from across the field. That better not be her. Well here she comes.
" Hey cowboy. " She said tracing her fingers from my chest to my cheek.
" Hello. " I said harshly, getting up and walking away.
" Alright! Lets go! Luke stand there. " Some guy yelled pointing to the bed of my truck. I stood up and then here comes slut. She got up and smiled at me before looking down at my crotch. I turned around and listened for directions. I was supposed to kiss her. I wasn't sure if I could bring my self to do that though. We filmed the first half, then came the kiss. We were in the middle of the field and I was finishing up the verse. She was to get on top of me. Which I thought was stupid. She pushed me down and crawled on top of me. She leaned down and our lips were inches apart.
" Luke you can't do this! " I mentally screamed at my self. It was to late. My heart sank as I heard a familiar scream. I looked to my right to see a horrified Alene. The whole band was crowded around her, they looked disgusted. Carter had his hand resting on Alene's shoulder as he looked at the ground, his other arm wrapped around Sophia. All I could do was stare. She dropped her bags and turned around and started walking away, then quickly started running. The band turned away and slowly started walking away. Carter looked at me and shook his head. Before he joined the rest of them. I pushed the slut off of me getting up.
" I'm done enough here. I hope you all got what you wanted. Because you're all fired! " I yelled before storming off. Even if I couldn't fire them, I had to say something. I couldn't lose Alene. I ran toward where Alene and the others went. Alene was no where to be found though. I looked everywhere and finally found the band getting ready for the show.
" Guys... " I said softly. " I was doing it for a music video, I swear, I had no choice! I fought them as hard as I could to let Alene be in it, but they said no. I know I fucked up, and I should've told her. " I said before falling against the door and burring my head in my hands.
Carter came to me and rubbed my back.
" Luke, that girl is crazy about you! There's no way in hell you're losing her."
I didn't say anything I just nodded.
" Showtime! Lets go! "
My manger yelled through the hall way. I got up and slowly trudged to the stage. Not sure how tonight was going to go. I didn't do my normal introduction, I just came out singing a song, no " Hey y'all it's Luke, " or
" How y'all doing tonight?! "
I was doing country girl shake it for me when I saw Alene in the pit. Sophia by her side. Alene was dancing and I think she was a little drunk, or at least buzzed. She looked strait up at me and cracked a smile. I smiled back. That quickly faded as some guy put his arms around her waist as she was dancing. He slowly started to pull her away, I was about to get off the stage when a blond haired man grabbed the guys collar and punched him in the side of his face. He went down, the guy then went back and stood between Alene and Sophia. I would be mad but that guy just saved my girlfriend. Nothing sexual looked like it was going on. He looked like he knew her. I let it go until I could talk to Alene about what happened, just now and before. When the show was over I took my ear piece off and went to go find Alene. I turned the corner and hear her talking to some man, must be the same guy. I finally came close to them and Alene backed away from me.
" Alene, " I said softly, " Can we talk please? " I asked.
" About what? " She hissed. " You know I thought you were different from the rest. But I guess no matter what, every relationship I've ever been in ends like this. I'm just a fool. " She said as a tear escaped her blueish gray eyes.
" That's what I want to talk to you about. I want to tell you what happened, I was trying to save you from getting hurt, I should've know it would end up hurting you even more." I said.
" I'm gonna leave you too alone. " The blond haired man said.
" Aaron, wait. " Alene said. " I'll call you tomorrow ok? " She said.
" Ok. " He said hugging her tight. I trust Alene enough to hope he's some kind of friend.
" Hey man, " I said grabbing his shoulder. " I appreciate what you did in the crowd a lot man. " I said. I stuck my hand out and he shook.
" No problem. " He said smiling and walking away.
I slumped down and patted the spot next to me. Alene looked at me with confusion before sitting down, keeping her distance though. That right there killed me. She can't even sit close to me anymore? I sighed looking down the barren hallway.
" Alene. You know how much I care and love you. That was for a music video, I fought as hard as I could to let them let you be in it, but they just said no. They need someone with experience They said. That slut got on top of me. She was to close to me. But I couldn't bring my self to do it. It was wrong, I wasn't going to kiss another women. I want to kiss you, and only you, and I want it to stay like that forever. " I said as a tear fell to my shirt. Alene looked at me, she's never seen me cry, or look so vulnerable.

" Luke, you're right if you would've told me, none of this would've happend. You wouldn't be hurting, neither would I. Next time, just tell me. " She said scooting over, lying her head on my thigh. I pulled her onto my lap and tilted her chin up.

" There won't be a next time. " I said with promising eyes. She smiled and leaned in closing the space between us.

" Who's Aaron? " I asked curiously.

Alene giggled. " I knew that was coming. I'm surprised you held out this long! He's my friend from college." She told me.

" Ah. I see. I held out that long because I trust you. " I smiled. " Now lets get back to the bus, " I said smirking. I picked her up throwing her over my shoulder while jogging to the bus. I ran through a small crowd of fans, then through the crew, past my manager, then through the band all the way to the bus. I climbed up the stairs and shut the door with my foot. I sat Alene down on the counter then went back and locked the door.
" This is long over due. " I said coming toward her.

I woke up to someone rubbing my chest. I didn't open my eyes I just laid there trying to hide the smile that was forming.
" Ugh Luke wake up! " Alene giggled.
I had to bite my tongue to keep from smiling. She climes on top of my chest and I could tell she was looking at me. She bent down lightly placing her lips on mine. I didn't move an inch. I had one to far and I wasn't going to give up now. Alene sighed.
" Dammit Luther, " Alene muttered before almost getting off of me. I grabbed her pressing her against the bed.
" Luther? " I said raising an eyebrow.
" What the hell Luke!? " She said laughing,
"I almost pissed my pants! "
I laughed and returned her kiss from earlier.
" You're so mean, " She said. " Lettin me think you were sleeping, I looked like a fool. " She said smiling.
" No, It was hard not to kiss back. " I said smirking. I leaned down for antihero kiss but kissed the air, Alene had scooted over. She was dying laughing.
" Oh, hahaha! " I said sarcastically. I sat against the bed board and fake pouted. Alene crawled into my lap and hugged me. I laughed and tackled her to the bed pinning her down. I kissed her this time hitting her mouth. She smiled into the kiss before I got off of her.
" What shall we do today my queen? "

( Sophia's POV ) <~Whaaaaa?!!! ¡Surprise!

I'm so happy to see that Alene and Luke are ok again! I knew they couldn't be mad at each other for long.
" Let's go babe, " Carter whispered into my ear.
" Ok, " I smiled. He put his arm on my back and guided me toward the arena.
" Where are we going? " I asked confused.
" Somewhere. " he smirked moving me along. We reached inside and the halls were dark. Lit up with only a small light that stretched down the hallway. He lead me down a couple more twists and turns until we came to a door.
" Close your eyes. " He said, I looked at him with a worried look. " I'm not gonna kill you, close your eyes. " He laughed. I closed my eyes, then heard Carter open the door. He picked me up and carried me a little distance before setting me down.
" Ok, open! " He said. I opened my eyes and was shocked! Orlando's stage was filled with candles! I covered my mouth with my hands.
" Carter! " I said holding back tears. " This is amazing! "
" I knew you'd like it! " He smiled. He went and sat down on the blanket he had set out in the middle. I followed him and sat right next to him. He pulled the basket toward us and opened it up revealing Chinese take out.
" Yay! I knew you couldn't be that cheesy! And Chinese take out is my favorite! " I smiled. Carter laughed handing me my box.
" I know. " He smiled kissing me. We ate and Carter kept me amused, as always, with his funny stories. After we ate he pulled me to him.
" Can I play you a song? " He asked me.
" I would love that. " I smiled. Carter grabbed his guitar and played me a song.
" That one was about you. " He smiled.
