Nat and I crawl through the catwalk before we're forced to stop by the thundering footsteps of the Hulk. The room shakes rhythmically as he gets closer and closer to us. I pull out my gun and fire at a liquid nitrogen pipe next to the Hulk. The gas clouds his vision as he furiously smashes the pipe to pieces. The two of us take off through the maze of corridors, followed closely by a recovered Hulk. Natasha turns to see how close the Hulk he is but he backhands her into the wall. She hits the ground, disoriented from the force of the impact. The Hulk walks closer to her, towering over her figure. Fear seeps into her body as he raises his hand but I run at him before he can do anything.
Thor and I both tackle the Hulk into the next room and protect Natasha from a violent fate. Now in the Aircraft Port, Thor and Hulk roll across the floor after I jump off the beast. I direct every agent out of the room, "Get as far away as you can. And someone warn Nick!" I yell at them. I rejoin Hulk and Thor as Thor stares up at the Hulk, who stands tall like a boxer. He wants Thor to make the next move but he doesn't. Hulk swings at Thor and misses, Thor retaliates by swinging his hand, almost knocking Hulk off his feet. Hulk keeps swinging for the god and continually misses. Thor wraps himself around Hulk's arm. "We are not your enemies Banner! Try to think!" He shouts.
Hulk lifts his arm up and Thor's face drops as he sends him flying backwards with a punch to the face. I stand with my hands on my hips, "Don't you think that was rude?" I ask sarcastically. Hulk slowly turns at the sound of my voice and glares at me curiously. "Okayyyyyy." I draw out, holding my hands out in surrender. "How about you attack the god because he can take it, and I'll sit here and watch?" I suggest. The Hulk grumbles and stands there watching me as I pull up a chair and sit. The moment my shoulders touch the back of the chair he turns back to Thor. Confusion fills me at his behaviour but I'm thankful for my safety.
A mildly bloodied Thor kneels on the ground, arm outstretched, waiting for his hammer. Thor's hand strains and his eyes are focused in concentration towards the pull of the hammer. The Hulk runs at him and at the last second Mjolnir flies into Thor's hand. He uppercuts the Hulk, sending him crashing into a fighter jet. Hulk stands, and shakes off his disorientation. He tears off the tail of the jet and hurls the hunk of metal at Thor. Instinctively Thor ducks and slides under the tail. He jumps up, wielding Mjolnir above his head, and with all his strength knocks the Hulk down. Hulk slides across the floor, his arm weighed down by the hammer.
He wraps his hand around the hammer in an attempt to lift it but to no avail. He bellows in anger at the lack of movement before he's kneed in the face by Thor. Thor grabs his hammer, jumps on Hulk, and uses the hammer as a chokehold on the struggling beast. Hulk tries to remove the god and in doing so causes them both to crash to the floor. Hulk grabs Thor by the neck but before he can attack a pilot makes his way into the port. He aims at Hulk and pulls the trigger. Bullets shower over the creature as Thor ducks for cover. I pull the god to me and we hide as best we can behind a jet, still having a clear view of the Hulk.
The hail of bullets anger the Hulk even more and releases a deafening roar. He prepares himself, takes a running start and leaps at the jet containing the pilot. "Target angry! Target angry!" I hear the pilot repeat. The Hulk lands on the nose of the jet and his weight causes the jet to spin repeatedly. The Hulk tears at the metal and the pilot engages his ejector seat. Unfortunately for him Hulk catches him, waves him around like a toddler throwing a tantrum then disposes of him. The pilot pulls his parachute and heads to ground safely. The Hulk's damage causes the jet to explode and Thor and I watch as Banner plummets to the ground.
"It's Barton. He took out our systems. He's headed for the detention level. Does anybody copy?" Fury's voice crackles through the earpiece. I go to respond but Natasha voices first, "This is Agent Romanoff. I copy." And takes off to find Barton. "Detention centre now." Thor orders. "I don't take orders from you Thor." I reprimand. "Maybe not but believe me, if I know Loki, and I do, this is the perfect diversion for him to make his escape. He wishes to show you that you are dangers to yourselves rather than cause the danger himself." Thor explains and I sigh. "Well he's done that pretty damn well." I mumble as we run towards the detention centre.
